Boost Your Metabolism: 10 Effective Ways for Speedy Weight Loss

We’ve probably all seen that person who eats a lot of food and does not exercise, but always seems thinner than those who eat slowly and count calories, yet still gain weight.

What is the mantra for losing weight? Is it eating less or more meals, doing less exercise, doing more exercise, etc.

We have all heard of metabolism, and we know that it is important to rev up the engine to burn more calories. It’s not how many calories you burn or eat, but if your metabolic rate is high, you will see sustained weight loss.

Biogetica’s protocols are different from other weight loss programs on the market. Weight loss does not only revolve around eating certain foods and following a strict exercise regime. Our revolutionary holistic weight loss kits correct the underlying imbalances which make your metabolism slow and unresponsive, causing you to pile on pounds and invite a host of lifestyle diseases.

Our protocols are based on clinically proven ingredients to increase your metabolism, put your body in fat-burning mode, balance your endocrinological axis, and improve other bodily functions. Thermogenic, a polyherbal formulation based on Ayurvedic principles, is traditionally used by Ayurvedic practitioners to reduce appetite and lipids naturally. Each ingredient is carefully selected to increase calorie burning, promote fat oxidation, and improve the metabolism of the body.

ASSIST, a clinically researched and very effective homeopathic preparation, demonstrated a weight loss average of 22.67 pounds over a period of 40 days during clinical trials conducted in the USA. Here you can read about the ASSIST trial.

What Exactly is Metabolism

In simple terms, metabolism is the summation of all chemical and physical processes that take place within an organism in order to maintain and generate energy.

The metabolism does not just involve burning calories for energy. This mechanism is responsible for all the biochemical processes which are constantly occurring in your body on a cellular level and helps every part to perform its individual functions.

A weakened or dulled metabolism will not only make you gain weight, but it can also make you vulnerable to diseases such as diabetes-a metabolic disorder. Also, nutritionists claim that low immunity is associated with low metabolism, making you more susceptible to a variety of diseases, including colds, flu, stomach problems, constipation, weight gain, and acne.

It is important to remember that a healthy metabolism requires moderate exercise, as well as the right food choices.

Let’s dive into the 10 things you must do to boost your metabolic rate, not just for weight-loss, but also for a healthier lifestyle.

  • Boost Immunity

You’ve seen how important it is to have a strong immune system if you wish to be able to burn calories and improve your metabolism. Whole foods are full of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients which not only help to increase our immune system but also ignite a metabolic fire. Some other natural herbs have been shown to increase immunity.

  • Hypericum Various species have been tested to determine their immune-boosting properties. Ayurvedic physicians suggest that Hypericum mysorense a rare Hypericum species, is the best for boosting immunity.
  • Echinacea This herb has been used for centuries to boost immunity and increase WBC counts to fight infections.
  • Citrus Aurantium Traditionally, the active component of this herb, naringenin is believed to have several benefits such as anti-inflammatory properties and immune-boosting properties.
  • Grapefruit This citrus has been linked to weight loss for years because it lowers insulin levels. Vitamin C helps to boost your immune system and keep you healthy. Fiber helps regulate your metabolism.
  • Trigonella fenum- Fenugreek (fenugreek), This herb has been used for centuries to improve digestion, increase lactation and boost immunity. It also helps regulate sugar levels and eliminate excess fluids from the body. These properties are known to benefit your metabolism, keeping it in tip-top shape.
  • Nourish Your Liver

Your liver performs many functions in your body. It performs 600 metabolic functions alone on a daily base. If your liver doesn’t function optimally, your metabolism will not either. These natural ingredients can help you improve your metabolic and liver health.

  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra, or Licorice Root: This herbal is traditionally used for boosting immunity, relieving pain and stress, protecting liver cells, and promoting its healing. The herb is thought to help flush out toxins and remove abnormal liver cells.
  • Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion). This herb has properties that are believed to support liver functions, eliminate toxins, regulate blood sugar, and maintain bone health.
  • Silybum maranum (Milk Thistle). This herb has detoxifying properties. The herb is used for centuries to support healthy digestion, reduce inflammation, and soothe mucous tissues. It has been reported that the active components of this plant act as antioxidants, which help eliminate free radicals. They also inhibit lipid degradation.
  • Turmeric (Curcuma longa): The benefits of turmeric are well-known around the world. Traditional beliefs hold that turmeric is effective in reducing inflammation, boosting immunity, and possessing hepatoprotective qualities.
  • Rebalance Hormones

The thyroid gland regulates metabolism through the hormone thyroxine. The level of your thyroid gland determines the efficiency of your metabolism. Weight gain and other health issues can be caused by thyroid imbalances. To help regulate your endocrine system, you can include the following ingredients:

  • Commiphora mukil (Guggulu). The gum-resin guggulu, obtained from the tree Commiphora mukil, is believed to detoxify and rejuvenate the thyroid gland. It is believed to have antioxidants, and also regulate the immune system of the body.
  • Lycopus: This herb has been shown to be beneficial for the thyroid gland. The herb has been shown to normalize the thyroid gland’s functions in studies.
  • Lagenaria Siceraria (Molina). This herb has been traditionally thought to possess antioxidant, thyroid-stimulating, and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Melissa Officinalis: This herb, also known as Lemon Balm, is thought to have several properties which aid digestion. Lemon balm has traditionally been believed to contain constituents that can help calm an overactive Thyroid.

Browse our protocols for an underactive, or overactive thyroid gland.

  • Beat Stress

Stress is a major problem in our fast-paced lives. Stress is believed to be the root cause of 90% of all primary health complaints. Chronic stress can have negative effects on the immune system and metabolism. Stress is a part of life, but how we manage or respond to it depends largely on our constitution. Proper nutrition is one way to make yourself more resilient. Natural ingredients that are known to reduce stress include:

  • Emblica Oficinalis: Studies have shown that this herb has antioxidant properties. It can be used to restore lost vitality and vigor, and it may also be helpful in fighting oxidative stress.
  • Withania somnifera, also known as Ashwagandha: The herb is believed to provide a variety of health benefits. This herb is believed to increase your antioxidant supply, regulate your immune system, reduce anxiety and rejuvenate the whole body.
  • Tinospora Cordifolia This herb has been traditionally thought to have properties that could be beneficial for digestion, glucose metabolism, and stress.
  • Work Out

Exercise is a great way to relieve stress and boost your metabolism.

You can get more lasting results by combining food and other nutrients with an intense workout. Exercises that cause you to sweat are more likely to increase your metabolism.

If you combine strength training with cardio, you’ll build more muscle, and by maintaining your muscles, you’ll burn more calories.

  • Hydrate Yourself

Water is vital for all organs in the body. Its importance is evident even at the cellular scale. Dehydrated bodies will use more energy than hydrated ones. To avoid a sluggish metabolism, fill up on water. Since water is more difficult to digest, it’s important to drink enough to replenish yourself and not drown in it.

  • Fast Intermittently

This can be tricky because you will hear contradictory advice from some people who say that eating small meals during the day keeps your metabolism charged. You should be aware that most of your body’s processes are engaged when you eat. If that happens most of the time, then you might think that it will have more time to focus on other things. When you fast intermittently for 12-16 hours you kickstart your metabolism by forcing your body to release more fat-burning hormones such as adrenaline and HGH. If you think that you’ll eat more during the non-fasting period of the day then it has been proven that people who fast eat fewer calories compared to those who eat 3-4 normal meals. Many people lose weight when fasting intermittently because they do not compensate for the loss of meals by eating larger portions. You must exercise self-control and make better choices when eating. Many religions prescribe fasting, and research has shown that people are more productive, mentally active, and receptive when they’re not fed.

  • Up Your Snooze Quotient

Research has shown that your body needs adequate rest to recharge. Less sleep can lead to hormonal imbalances and brain fog, as well as a greater desire for sweets and salty foods. It also makes it harder to move around.

  • Spice up your food and eat healthy foods

It’s a given that if you eat junk, you will look and feel like junk. You must eat foods that are rich in macronutrients, such as carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, as well as lean protein, in your diet. Avoiding processed foods is also important. Some studies have shown that spicy foods like chilies, hot peppers, and other spices can increase your metabolism.

  • Laugh your Blues away

You’re more likely to stay at the same weight if you remain glum. If you use your humor to exercise your body, you will give it a small aerobic workout, and help your body shed the excess pounds. According to research, laughter can reduce muscle tension, increase oxygen levels in the blood, exercise the heart, and cause your body to release endorphins that promote a feeling of well-being. Stop taking yourself so seriously and try some laughter therapy to become healthier and skinnier.

The best way to increase your metabolism is by addressing the cause of its slowdown. Our patient community has seen tremendous benefits from a slight change in lifestyle and the incorporation of healthier alternatives. Biogetica has pledged to walk with you on your path to freedom and health. Unlock Bacopa Monnieri: Proven Health Benefits

Bacopa has so many properties, that traditional medicine recommends it for a variety of reasons.

  • Stress management
  • Dopamine level enhancement
  • Mental balance and emotional balance
  • Mood enhancement
  • Mental and cognitive enhancement
  • Skeletal support
  • Reproductive health
  • Memory enhancement
  • Blood sugar optimization
  • Metabolic health
  • Digestive Health
  • Immune balance

Let’s Get to Know this Wonder Healer A Little More

Water Hyssop has oblong, white flowers with 4 to 5 petals. The leaves are oblong and 4-6mm in length.

Bacopa has been used extensively in traditional medicine, including Ayurveda. Bacopa can be purchased as an oil, powder, or capsule.

Although it has a bitter flavor, this is not enough to hide the many health benefits that it provides.

Water Hyssop’s Nutrient Properties

You may be wondering what makes this herb so proficient and the reasons are that Water Hyssop contains many biologically active compounds, including alkaloids (brahmine and herpestine), flavonoids (glucuronyl-7-apigenin, glucuronyl-7-luteolin, luteolin-7-glucoside, and luteolin), and saponins (bacogenins, bacosides, and bacopasides), and bacopasaponins. In addition, the plant also contains terpenoids, phytosterol, and anthraquinones.

Bacopa is a powerful pharmacological agent. It has a number of properties, including adaptogenic, antiproliferative, and mood-enhancing effects.

Water Hyssop Health Benefits include

  • Supporting brain function
  • Improving cognition
  • Fighting stress, depression, and anxiety
  • Promoting liver health
  • Detoxifying your body
  • Enhancing cardiovascular function and blood circulation
  • Improving digestion
  • Joint health
  • Regulating endocrine functions

Modern Research Studies that Verify Brahmi’s Traditional Medicinal Usages

Various clinical studies have been done to confirm the therapeutic efficacy of water hyssop. Some of the studies that were conducted to determine Bacopa’s efficacy for clinical conditions include:

  • Alzheimer’s disease: This neurodegenerative disease is becoming a common concern with advancing age and more people are succumbing to this brain disorder. Results of an  In vivo study showed that Bacopa monnieri potentially exerted cognitive enhancing and neuroprotective properties against Alzheimer’s disease. 1
  • Parkinson’s disease: Another progressive neurodegenerative condition on the rise, Parkinson’s disease is correlated to abnormally low levels of Dopamine in the body. A clinical evaluation highlighted that bacopa reduced protein aggregation, prevented dopaminergic neurodegeneration, and restored lipid content, thereby proving its potential as a possible anti-Parkinsonian agent. 2
  • Dementia: This disease is characterized by cognitive decline and a progressive regression of mental abilities. Several studies have highlighted Brahmi’s nervine and mental tonifying properties. Studies conducted to evaluate the neuroprotective potential of the herb in dementia disease models indicated that the extract reduced oxidative stress, scavenging reactive oxygen species, decreased the formation of lipid peroxides, and restored the activities of the antioxidant enzymes. 34
  • ADHD: Mostly observed in children, this systemic disorder displaying inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity or difficulty in controlling behavior is becoming quite rampant and psychostimulants have not been able to control the condition. An open-label study to assess the effects of Water hyssop reported that the herb effectively alleviated symptoms of ADHD and was well-tolerated by the children. 5
  • Depression and Anxiety: Bacopa has been reported to show tremendous results in addressing these widespread conditions. An In vivo study concluded that bacopa displayed dose-related anxiolytic activity qualitatively comparable to that of lorazepam, in all the test parameters. In fact, bacopa was better off than the widely used benzodiazepine anxiolytics because it also promoted cognition, unlike the amnesic action of the latter. 6
  • Stress: Almost all niggling medical conditions have their root cause in chronic stress. In fact, it has been estimated that 90% of primary health complaints are stress related. Numerous studies have been conducted to assess bacopa’s antistress properties. An In vivo examination of subjects suffering from acute and chronic stress established that a standardized extract of bacopa possessed potent adaptogenic activity and could be a potential stress buster. 7

There are many more studies that have shown the therapeutic potential of Water hyssop. This herb has been used for conditions such as Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN), Migraine (Migraine headaches), backache, joint and digestive pains, etc.

It is important to know that Devil’s Claw has been approved as a non-prescription medicine by the German Commission E. The herb has proven beneficial in supporting healthy joints, the lower back, the knee, and the hip.

Devil’s claw, also known as wood spider or wool spider, is a perennial herb that belongs to the Pedaliaceae (or Sesame) family. Other names include grapple plant (also known as a wood spider), wool spider, harpago (also known as sengaparile), and Kanako.

Devil’s Claw Nutritional Properties

The Clinical Evidence also Supports the Potential Therapeutic Effects Of Devil’s Claw

The therapeutic efficacy of the devil’s claw was identified through various clinical studies. Modern medicine is now beginning to understand why the devil’s claw was so popular in the past. Growing research is looking at the use of devil’s paw for conditions that affect the immune system, joints, and kidneys. It may also be used to treat liver, urinary bladder, arthrosis, indigestion, blood diseases, allergies, lumbago, neuralgia, and fever. The herb is also used to treat degenerative disorders, such as dyspepsia and peptic ulcers heartburn, arthrosis, and tendonitis. It has been tested for blood diseases, headaches, allergies, and fever. The following studies are not intended to be a treatment. Only your government or FDA can determine if it is. This herb can be used to improve your digestive, circulatory, and metabolic systems, as well as your defense system.

A Snippet of some of the studies conducted

  • Osteoarthritis: An uncontrolled multicentre drug surveillance study for about 12 weeks conducted on 75 patients with arthrosis of the hip or knee reported that the Devil’s Claw extract had a clinically beneficial effect with the patients reporting improved physical functioning and pain reduction. 1
  • Backache: Results of an open, multicenter study highlighted that 90% of the patient group suffering from chronic non-radicular back pain and treated with  2 daily doses of the devil’s claw extract for a period of 8 weeks showed a significant improvement of pain symptoms and mobility of the affected sections of the spine in the course of treatment. 2
  • Muscle pain: A randomized, double-blind, 4-week, placebo-controlled study to investigate the effects of Devil’s Claw on sensory, motor, and vascular mechanisms of muscle pain reported that the herb had a significant influence on sensory and vascular muscular response and successfully alleviated muscle stiffness in the patient group. 3
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome: Clinical evaluation to determine the antioxidant properties of Devil’s Claw along with other herbs reported that the herb possessed potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and could prove a valuable alternative in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. 4

Anorexia: Essential Dietary Tips for Recovery

Anorexia, also known as Anorexia nervosa, is more than just restricting your diet. Anorexia is dangerous because of this laid-back approach to this seemingly harmless condition. Anorexia is a serious mental illness that can be accompanied by irrational fears and obscure eating habits. It causes an extreme aversion to foods, a fear of gaining too much weight, and an unhealthy perception of the body.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with anorexia, it is vital to seek immediate professional help.

It is important to establish a support network and make lifestyle and diet changes. This includes a healthy eating plan, regular eating habits, and a regular diet. The National Health Service recommends that you follow some basic guidelines:

  • Start with small meals and gradually increase the amount.
  • Consult nutrition experts to correct biochemical imbalances.
  • Eating regularly is very important. It’s best to eat 5-6 times per day.
  • Weight gain of about 0.5-1 kg per week can be considered healthy. You will need to consume 3,500-6,000 calories extra per week. You can set a weight goal that you will work towards. Our Nutritional Expert can assist you.

You can use the following general guidelines to help you on your recovery journey.

Recommended Foods

Any diet for Anorexia should include foods from all major food groups. Include both essential micronutrients and major macronutrients.

  • The importance of protein in regaining lost muscle mass cannot be overstated. You should aim to consume between 10-35% protein in your diet. Choose healthy protein sources such as tuna, chicken breast, egg white, and turkey. Avoid red meat as it is harder to digest and puts additional strain on the body.
  • Carbohydrates should make up 45-65% or more of your daily calories. Whole grain cereals and bread can help provide energy to your body. Fruits, vegetables, beans, potatoes, and other carbohydrate-rich foods are also good sources.
  • To compensate for the micro- and macronutrient deficit, you can eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, but in smaller portions.
  • Consume bitter and pungent veggies such as bottle gourds, bitter gourds, radish leaves, sprouts, and carrots. To improve digestion, we recommend steam-cooking the vegetables rather than eating them uncooked.
  • Healthy diets also require 10-25% of calories from fat. Choose your fats carefully. Limit trans and saturated fats, including those found in red meat, whole-fat dairy, baked goods, and fried food. Include nuts, avocados, and olives. Flax seeds and oils from canola and corn. Salmon, tuna, and cod are all healthy choices.
  • Keep your bowels healthy with natural fiber. It helps to maintain regular elimination.

Foods to Moderately Consume

Avoid or limit nightshades, such as potatoes and tomatoes.

Avoid These Foods

  • Eat only warm food and avoid cold foods, sweets, and heavy food as they are known to cause internal toxins.
  • Avoid aged cheeses and mushrooms, as well as bread, pasta, and biscuits.
  • Avoid fermented food such as vinegar, and products that contain fermented food as an ingredient
  • It is best to avoid leftovers, frozen or preserved foods as they can be difficult to digest
  • Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol
  • Avoid spicy food, alcohol, coffee, and tea, as well as high-fat & fried foods.
  • Avoid processed foods, which may cause a spike in energy followed by a fall in blood sugar.

Home Remedies

  • Garlic Add 3-4 finely chopped cloves of garlic to 1 cup water. Garlic can be added to your food.
  • Ginger: Add a pinch of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of finely minced ginger to it. Consume 30 minutes before eating on an empty stomach.
  • Mint and Lime: Drink a glass of lime juice each morning with mint leaves.
  • Oranges: Eat a few oranges daily or drink fresh orange juice to stimulate your appetite.
  • Apple: Consuming apples can increase the amount of pepsin – a digestive enzyme that can help with digestion.

Anorexia can be caused by social, psychological, and genetic factors. To harmonize imbalances on the physical, energetic, and informational spectrums you need to consider all aspects.

Anorexia can be a serious problem and many people get caught in the downward spiral of anorexia, which often leads to devastating outcomes. Researchers have done extensive research to find natural remedies that can safely correct the imbalances in the body.

Milk Thistle is one of many herbs that are used in traditional medicine and supported by clinical research to improve mental, emotional, and digestive health. Others include Aloe vera and Lion’s Mane.

In its mission to help you achieve the freedom and ease you desire, Biogetica works diligently to offer integrated solutions that address root issues in the physical and energetic spectrums of your life. Our protocols are created after exhaustive research into all ingredients. Managing BioActives: A Game Changer in Personal Health

One of the issues often faced by proponents of herbal medicine is the changing composition of active ingredients in a plant. Plants change daily, and insuring that they are potent when harvested is a complex task that involves both ancient and modern science.

Numerous factors in the growth cycle of the plant need to be managed and then verified by modern technologies that calculate the active ingredient in plant matter. For an ideal composition, plants must be grown in ideal soil and climate conditions in accordance with moon cycles. If the root is to be used the plant must be harvested on no moon dates. If the shoot is to be used, the plant should be harvested on full moon days. The water fed to these plants should be structured and archetypical in nature. Plants should also be grown in their original biotope to insure they receive the bio-field support of the forest they are used to.

We at Biogetica take great care to insure that the plants we use in our products are potent and pure. The agriculture facilities and forests we work with globally are renowned for their biodiversity. The forests and plantations pictured below are considered some of the most bio-diverse on the planet. It is these various factors that insure each batch of our products bears the potential to uplift lives globally. We have already verified with modern technology that all these factors of biodynamic and Siddha agriculture make a huge difference in the plants active ingredient profile and yet we test each batch of herbs individually to insure their potency. Curcuma Longa for example can contain anywhere from 30% to 95% curcumin and we standardise each batch to bring you the best we can bottle.

The Microcosmic Orbit: Health Secrets from the Ancients

Ancient sciences have spoken for a long time about the energy body. It is connected to our body through a network of meridians and cavities. Modern science is also waking up to this truth as MRI scans show meridians. Scientists have also studied the electrical conductivity of our body at this meridian point.

Meditation traditions like chi gung or pranayama are centered on moving and balancing the energy along these meridians. Eastern physicians are able to predict health problems when they notice that the energy flow in a particular meridian has not been balanced. Low kidney energy can be detected by the pulse and indicate that kidney problems are imminent.

Microcosmic orbit meditation is done to balance the energy in the main meridians on the body. The ancients believed that it had countless health and meditation benefits.

It is easy to do the microcosmic circle. Chi flows wherever our awareness goes, so the process is simply to bring awareness to various energy centers within the body.

Below are simple instructions on how to use microcosmic orbit. Here you can listen to an audio recording.
1. Put your tongue on the roof of your mouth
2. Smile with your eyes
3. Feel the energy in your smile.
4. Let the smile fall into your throat. It will feel similar to the ripples you get when you drop a pebble into a pond.
5. Continue to smile with your eyes, and allow the energy from it to ooze into the heart like honey. It will again feel like ripples hitting the heart
6. Feel the energy ripples as it enters the center of the solar plexus.
7. Now, let the energy drip into the two middle fingers just below the belly button
8. Allow the energy to drip into your perineum
9. The energy will be sent up your back by pressing the sacral pump located at the bottom.
10. It will move from the solar plexus to the heart, throat, and back of the head, then down to the brow center.
11. Repeat this process for 3, 9, or 18 cycles.

Celebrating Today’s Health Heroes: Real Stories, Real Impact

We are witnessing a new interest in natural medicines, and we see that single herbs or their derivatives have become heroes.

This is news that I should welcome as an Ayurvedic doctor who has dedicated his life to natural medicines. It’s true, I do. But I find some aspects of it troubling.

Let me explain. Ayurveda is a system of medicine that uses over 34,000 documented and registered formulations, created by combining about 10,000 plant species.

Today, when something is popularly accepted by the public it’s immediately viewed as a panacea. It’s troubling that people take what their friends recommend and then claim nature did not work for them. Nature is the only thing that keeps us alive.

Moringa, coconuts, turmeric, and CBD are some of the plants that have been hailed as miracle cures in the past year.

These claims of cure-alls are rarely accurate and precise. In Ayurveda, each plant is not only understood for its molecular properties but also for its five-element properties. Garlic, which is good for the flu because of its saponins but bad for herpes due to it being hot is a great example. Ayurveda has studied CBD for thousands of years and we know its side effects and uses. I have never seen a Doctor or an article that mentions the Ayurvedic view of CBD. Coconuts have some wonderful uses but also come with warnings and restrictions on consumption. Coconuts are cooling, and they only grow in warm climates. Coconuts are not suitable for consumption on cold nights in winter. The article on coconuts won’t tell you this.

Ayurveda would not have 34000 formulas if it had a single cure-all. It doesn’t exist, so we have a lot of precise formulas that are based on prior knowledge.

Ayurveda’s study of synergies seems to be lost in this obsession with single herbs. In Ayurveda, you will rarely hear a single herb prescribed. These combinations were created by enlightened doctors in the past for a specific reason. Now, the importance of this combination is being ignored. Patients will sometimes tell us that the capsules we sell only contain 50mg of turmeric, while another one has 500mg. In such observations, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the liver will flush out 490 mg of the 500 mg of Turmeric. The synergistic mixture of 50 mg turmeric will be absorbed by the body and will do its job. For example, we have a number of formulas that contain turmeric. Each formula has a specific use. The turmeric we use contains 95% curcumin and you won’t find it anywhere else.

It is my mission to make plants known and understood as medicine. My ancestors, who were both horticulturists as well as doctors, have passed this mission on to me. Please contact us if you have any questions about plants or foods. You can do this via the Doctor Consult feature on www.biogetica.com.

NADH: The Revolutionary Anti-Aging Breakthrough of this Century

There are many articles about NADH on the internet. Scientific American, and many other new credible sources, rave about this molecule. Recent studies by Harvard Medical School and other leading institutions have proven that NADH reverses the aging of cells.

Many articles suggest that NADH may be available in 3 to 5 years time as a drug. Biogetica, on the other hand, offers NADH today.

In healthy young cells, vitamin B3 is converted to NADH. With age, your ability to convert it to NADH drops rapidly. This leads to the aging spiral. Supplementing with NADH can help you get out of this spiral.

Visit our NADH page for more information about NADH. It is available in 5 different supplement blends, made in our state-of-the-art laboratory in Spain. The blends are designed to complement NADH’s energy-producing, detoxifying, brain-enhancing, and weight-reducing properties.

For example, if you wish to:

  • Take Cerevitan to improve memory and brain function.
  • Detox & Cleanse take Detoxym
  • Serenat Take Serenat to increase clarity and focus
  • Cardivas To support the heart and cardiovascular systems, take Cardivas

Ayurvedic Diet Principles: A Modern Spin on Ancient Wisdom

Over the past decade of our operations we have seen many diet fads come and go. Our Doctors have often found that these extreme diet fads lack balance and a deeper understanding of the nature of food beyond molecules.

The scientific wisdom of Ayurveda, whose roots date back thousands of years not only looks at food in terms of its molecular nature but also takes into consideration the inter-relation of the five elements namely earth, water, fire, air and ether in the food.

Ayurveda is not about excluding certain foods and including others, it is more about understanding your constitution and eating wisely since food is medicine. Ayurveda classifies food into 6 tastes, which include sweet, salty, pungent, sour, bitter and astringent and recommends including all the 6 tastes for a wholesome diet.

Ayurveda explains that every being is made up of a combination of 3 fundamental energies (doshas)-Vata (wind), Pitta(fire) and Kapha (earth) and depending on your predominant energy; some foods will be highly beneficial whereas other may create imbalances in your body. To know more about your dominating dosha refer to our Prakruti analysis chart here

Just as a human body is made up of fundamental energies, food also has its own taste, heating or cooling energy and a post –digestive effect and this brings us to an important concept of food combinations.

Combining foods that have opposite effects on your body leads to an overload on your digestive fire resulting in toxin production, indigestion, putrefaction, gas formation etc.

In order to help you understand bad food combinations we’ve compiled a list of common diet fallacies. Our vision however is always one of moderation, balance and freedom and therefore we request that you treat these diet recommendations as general guidelines to be incorporated into your life as opposed to hard and fast rules that limit your freedom. Believe it or not, we have actually seen cases of diet creators and authors suffer from the constrictions they have placed on their diet and life.  Hard and fast rules essentially create mental and emotional barriers, which ultimately disturb the flow of life within the body mind continuum.

As a general rule, eat the following food items alone rather than combining them with other food items

  1. Milk (except with rice, oats, almonds and dates)
  2. Fruits (except foods with similar qualities, eg- all citrus foods, apples with pears, an assortment of all berries etc)
  3. Melons ( don’t combine them with any other fruit)

Other popular incompatible combinations include[1]

Food Incompatible with
Milk Cheese, eggs , fruits  especially bananas, melons, citrus fruits, and sour fruits , meat, yogurt
Eggs Milk, cheese, yogurt, fruit , beans, potatoes, meat ,fish
Cheese Fruit, eggs, beans, milk, yogurt, hot drinks, potatoes, tomatoes, pepper
Beans Fruit, eggs, fish, milk, meat, yogurt, cheese
Potatoes, Tomatoes Melons, cucumber, dairy products
Butter and ghee (clarified Butter) Ghee is more compatible than butter
Yogurt Fruit, cheese, eggs, fish, milk, meat, hot drinks

You may find certain incompatible combinations hard to accept, however this list is just a helpful guide and not exhaustive. Moreover, we’d advise you to move slowly and implement one change at a time to understand the differences in your energy levels and general well being.  Moreover, what may work for you may not suit another member of your family owing to your unique constitution. So, it is best to listen to your body and accordingly make changes that will help you remain healthy and full of life.

A strong digestive fire is a blessing as it can help you deal with incompatible food combinations effectively.
Some useful tips to increase your belly fire and improve your digestion include:

1. Consuming ½ tsp of freshly grated ginger with a pinch of rock salt at the beginning of a meal can help stimulate the digestive fire.
2. Ghee (clarified butter) stimulates the fire and aids in digestion.
3. Sipping on warm water between meals improves digestion and enhances absorption. On the other hand, iced water makes your metabolism sluggish.
4. Chewing your food properly aids digestion rather than swallowing it hastily as it doesn’t mix well with the saliva.
5. Eat only when you’re hungry and not when you’re only plain thirsty. Try understanding the needs of your body.
6. Eat and drink till you are 75% full. Do not overeat as it stifles the digestive fire.

Our body has a unique quality of adaptation and we may have therefore not observed any untoward effect whilst eating wrong combinations earlier. Moreover, indulging in incompatible foods occasionally does not adversely affect the digestive fire. However, it is important that we eat mindfully because as the adage goes- You are what you Eat.

Herpes Cure 2019: A Ray of Hope on the Horizon

The conventional medical system is baffled by viral infections, as none of the drugs can completely eliminate the virus and the patient remains susceptible to relapse. There have been billions spent on research, but there is still no cure in the conventional medicine system for the common cold. Scientists have said that there is no cure, but anyone who has successfully treated a cold using natural methods will tell you the opposite!

Herpes simplex is another example. It is a very annoying infection that almost all sexually active people contract. Unfortunately! There is no cure for Herpes in conventional medicine! Herpes is a complex infection to treat as the virus hides in the blood-brain barrier, which conventional medicine cannot reach. Research has shown that some natural molecules, such as Astaxanthin, may be able to cross the blood-brain barrier to deliver nutrition to nerve ganglia.

Can astaxanthin act as a carrier for something like Hypericum Mysorense that “suppressed Herpes 100%” when tested in a laboratory setting 2, to the virus in the nerve ganglia? This question could lead to a Herpes Cure.

In 2019, it is clear that doctors, scientists, and patients alike are turning to nature as a source of medicine. Natural medicines are more effective than pharmaceuticals in treating chronic ailments. Certain natural substances, especially for herpes, have shown promise in reducing outbreaks’ duration and decreasing the probability of future ones.

Some of the most promising include

Hypericum Mysorense

The study published in peer-reviewed medical journals on this herb and HSV made headlines around the world. This article, which can be found in the US Library of Medicine, states on page 28 that “Our results showed H. mysorense & H. hookerianum inhibited HSV-1.” 3

Biogetica holds several patents for its Hyperisince formulation, which combines Hypericum with other herbs.

Herpes nosodes:

Herpes Nosodes contain energetic imprints from the Herpes virus RNA, which are thought to activate specific immune responses. These do not contain virus-like vaccines. In a French trial, 82% of genital-herpes patients who took herpes noodes for six months had reduced outbreaks or none at all for five years. 4

Homeopaths believe that nosodes are an important tool because they remind the immune system of its duty to act even when the virus is dormant. Nosodes are considered valid treatment methods in most of Europe. They represent the current state of Homeopathy. Switzerland passed a new law to ensure that homeopathy and nosodes are covered by insurance.

The problem with these two was that they could not cross the blood-brain barrier on their own. Astaxanthin and nanotechnology can help. If someone is able to deliver an herb such as Hypericum mysorense, which suppresses herpes into the nerve ganglia, they might be able to eliminate the virus and cure herpes.

Antibody tests cannot determine the effectiveness of this treatment. Antibodies are the body’s defence system and we always have antibodies against any virus that we were infected or vaccinated with. In order to determine if someone has been cured or is free of a viral condition, we must look at PCR DNA tests. These tests look for the virus itself and not the antibodies our body produced against it.

Biogetica’s latest herpes patents combine two potent transports to get Hypericum mysorense into the cell walls and past the blood-brain barrier. This new formula will be released to the public by the end 2019 of this year. We already have one of these transporters in our existing Hyperisince product to get the herb through the cell wall. Astaxanthin could potentially allow it to pass the blood-brain barrier.

Occidental Allopathic Medicine has done a great job in studying the molecules that make up life and controlling symptoms through these molecules. Life is not just about molecules, and these molecules are often ineffective at addressing the underlying cause of disease or rejuvenating organ systems that have been affected. More and more scientists are now turning back to nature.

Biogetica offers customized Immune Boost Protocols, which are designed to enhance the body’s innate defense mechanism. A strong immune system is able to deflect any predators that may enter the body.

Cinnamon: Health Benefits, Nutritional Facts and Traditional Uses

Cinnamon

If you’re looking to remain healthy and not resorting to chemicals to achieve that, then your best shot is including cinnamon in your daily diet.

Yes! Cinnamon, that innocuous looking spice sitting in your kitchen cabinet in form of sticks or powder is your perfect ally in accomplishing your health goals.

Cinnamon belongs to the laurel family and there are over 200 different species belonging to the genus Cinnamomum. However, only 4 varieties have made it to the commercial arena with Cassia Cinnamon and Ceylon Cinnamon being the most popular.

Of the 2 varieties, Ceylon Cinnamon is called ‘True cinnamon’ and is considered more healthy, since it  has lesser of the coumarin content, which is believed to have detrimental effects on the body if consumed in excess. It is also more expensive and that is one of the reasons you’ll find more of the cassia variety in the market, as it is easily available, cheaper, and spicier. However, it also contains more of coumarin.

Cinnamon’s Nutritional Profile

Cinnamon’s main active constituents that also impart the health benefiting properties are cinnamaldehyde, cinnamyl acetate, and cinnamyl alcohol. It is also known to be a good source of iron, calcium, manganese, zinc and fiber.

Culinary uses

Cinnamon has a distinct sweet, spicy taste and a delicious aroma. It is widely used as a condiment and flavouring material in several cuisines. It is used to flavour dessert recipes, coffee, hot tea, chocolates, pickles, chutneys, liquors, etc.

Traditional Uses

Cinnamon has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians used cinnamon as an embalming agent. In ayurvedic literature cinnamon is considered a warm herb and is believed to enhance the bioavailability of other ingredients. Cinnamon is traditionally believed to improve digestion, absorption and metabolism. It potentially eases evacuation of toxins and improves circulation by strengthening the heart and warming the kidneys.  The coumarin content found in cinnamon has a blood thinning effect and may be beneficial in cardiac issues. Additionally, ayurveda recommends cinnamon for respiratory concerns since anecdotal evidence suggests that it has expectorating and decongesting properties. The other vital health benefits that Cinnamon is famous for are:

  • Exhibits antioxidant actions- Cinnamon is loaded with polyphenols, which are strong natural antioxidants that help protect the body from free radical damage
  • Boosts immune mechanisms
  • Imparts cardio protective benefits
  • Regulates sugar levels in the blood
  • Protects cognitive and brain functions
  • Maintains cellular health
  • Boosts collagen and support healthy skin
  • Helps lose weight

Scientific Evidence Further Emphasizes Cinnamon’s Healthifying Nature

Several clinical studies have been conducted to identify the therapeutic potential of cinnamon. Researchers have concluded that the health benefits of cinnamon are attributed to its special phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and antioxidant constituents. These compounds make cinnamon one of the most productive spices on earth and many In vitro and In vivo studies have now suggested that cinnamon has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antitumor, cardiovascular, cholesterol-lowering, and immunomodulatory effects. 1

Some of the conditions that Cinnamon improved in clinical trials include:

Diabetes: Clinical results indicated that daily cinnamon consumption for 40 days resulted in reducing serum glucose, triglyceride, LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol in people with type 2 diabetes. Another study showed that cinnamon potentially reduced insulin resistance, helping this hormone regulate sugar levels in the blood. This also highlights that cinnamon may help reduce lipids levels in the body and may be beneficial in weight loss regimens. [2, 3]

Hepatic disorders: An In vivo examination showed that cinnamon restored hepatic functions in clinical induced heptotoxicity and hepatic injury. The results obtained revealed that cinnamon has potent antioxidant activity and may be useful in the treatment of some hepatic disorders without any side effects. 4

Alzheimer’s disease (AD): Clinical observation reported that an aqueous cinnamon extract inhibited tau aggregation and filament formation, which are tell tale signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Cinnamaldehyde and proanthocyanidins isolated from cinnamon appeared to inhibit the degenerative changes associated with AD. 5

Parkinson’s disease (PD):  An In vivo examination also showed Cinnamon display nerve protective properties, help normalize neurotransmitter levels and improve motor functions. 6

Respiratory Infections: Cinnamon is traditionally believed to possess immune boosting properties and an In vitro investigation showed that cinnamaldehyde found in cinnamon possesses potent fungitoxic properties that may prove beneficial in respiratory disorders. 7

In fact results from another study indicated that cinnamaldehyde was equally effective in inhibiting the growth of various isolates of bacteria and dermatophytes. Thus, suggesting that cinnamon possesses broad-spectrum antibiotic activities. 8

Ongoing research keeps on validating the many therapeutic properties of Cinnamon that ancient populations instinctively knew and applied.

Biogetica is proud to declare that it has always championed the cause of nature and truly believes that only Nature has all the answers for the myriad of health problems we see ourselves facing today. Vitiligo Uncovered: Innovative Research and Treatment Options

Your skin cells have pigment molecules called melanocytes that impart color to your skin. Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder, in which these melanocytes are destroyed leading to white-colored spots, streaks, or patches appearing on different parts of the body. The areas mostly include the face, fingers, hands, wrists, body folds, and sites of injury. Mucous membranes (tissues lining the inside of the mouth and nose), the retina (inner layer of the eyeball), and areas around moles are other commonly affected sites. Normally the hair that grows on the affected patches of skin also turns white.

Vitiligo Causes

Although scientists and researchers have not yet zeroed in on any definitive cause of vitiligo; there are several theories purported as triggering factors

  • Autoimmunity: This is by far considered the most evident reason to develop Vitiligo. In this case, vitiligo patients develop antibodies that directly destroy melanocytes causing loss of pigmentation.
  • Genetic Predisposition: Another widely accepted view is that people with vitiligo inherit a three-gene group that makes them susceptible to depigmentation.
  • StressDoctors unanimously agree that overt unhealthy stress is the root cause of several diseases and could be a triggering factor for vitiligo as well.
  • Toxin accumulation: Several researchers have indicated that increased accumulation of toxins could lead to melanocyte destruction.
  • Miscellaneous factors: Some doctors also opine that skin injuries, sunburns, mental distress, and physical Illnesses could increase vitiligo susceptibility in some patients.

Vitiligo Symptoms

Vitiligo is a progressive skin disorder. In typical cases, it starts as a small spot and then extends symmetrically or randomly to cover larger areas of the skin as more pigment cells get destroyed.

The pattern of the disorder is atypical and varies in size, shape, intensity of the loss of color, and in the profile of their distribution. It may at times become a chronic skin condition or in some cases regress on its own.

Vitiligo Treatment Options

Popular Medicine declares there is no sure-shot cure for vitiligo. However, a lot of symptomatic measures are available that attempt to arrest depigmentation. Some of the popular ones include:

Corticosteroids are the first line of treatment and they are used topically, orally, or intravenously to arrest the spread of depigmentation and also restore pigmentation. Although considered to have a 75% success rate, they are not the most preferred treatment since they have non-uniform effectiveness; and long-term use may cause atrophy of the epidermis leading to skin shrinkage and the appearance of purplish-red striae. Other potential side effects include systemic absorption, glaucoma, suppression of the hypothalamo-pituitary axis, as well as Cushing’s syndrome, and growth retardation in infants and children.

Light therapy is another treatment protocol that utilizes certain wavelengths of ultraviolet light to induce melanin synthesis.

Laser Treatment involves using targeted phototherapy at a wavelength of 308 nm to induce repigmentation. It has a 50% success rate but is associated with side effects like hyperpigmentation, skin burns, and folliculitis.

Since a maladaptive immune response is one of the major reasons for vitiligo, Holistic doctors believe that an approach addressing this concern will definitely go a long way in achieving repigmentation. There is a lot of research ongoing in the field of natural medicine to unearth potential natural ingredients that may help restore the color back into your lives again.

In fact, plant remedies have seen a recent resurgence resulting from several factors, such as the effectiveness of plant medicines and lesser side effects compared with modern medicines.

Key Ingredient Highlights

  • Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia):

This is an Ayurvedic herb that is traditionally believed to help stimulate melanocytes to synthesize melanin. Studies suggest that bakuchi possesses immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and hepatoprotective properties, which may prove valuable in treating skin conditions like vitiligo. 1

  • Katuki (Picrorhiza kurroa):

This ayurvedic herb is traditionally believed to possess natural immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties that may help modulate the immune response and improve skin health.

  • Acacia catechu:

This Ayurvedic herb is traditionally believed to possess active constituents that balance the energy elements in your body and has rejuvenating properties. Clinical investigation has shown that Acacia catechu is a valuable alternative in treating skin disorders like vitiligo. 2

  • Bishop’s weed (Ammi majus Linn):

This natural ingredient is traditionally believed to benefit the health of the urinary, respiratory, and dermatological systems. Clinical analysis has indicated that the seed contains furanocoumarins, which stimulate pigment production when the skin is exposed to bright sunlight. Experimental evidence showed that vitiligo cases treated with this extract promptly responded and completely recovered or greatly improved within a short span of time. 3

Investigations including Homeopathic ingredients like Arsenicum sulphurated flavum, Arsenicum album, Nitricum acidum, and Syphilinum showed that vitiligo patients given these classical homeopathic treatments had significant improvement in their condition. 4

These are just some of the many herbs that are successfully employed to restore skin health. Biogetica integrates traditional wisdom with research-backed evidence and formulates multidisciplinary kits with ingredients that are traditionally believed to enhance the body’s melanocyte production cycle and support the restoration of normal skin color.

Our Kits Include:

  • Ayurvedic herbs: A combination of herbal extracts like bakuchi, katuki, acacia, pippali, etc that are traditionally believed to possess natural immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties. These polyherbs potentially promote melanogenesis and melanin transfer to the skin.

In fact, a clinical trial on our pigmento formulation reported that 60% of Vitiligo patients in the initial clinical evaluation of Pigmento showed repigmentation. 5

  • Homeopathic Attentuations: A potentized combination of advanced bio-resonance homeopathic remedies that are traditionally believed to stimulate the body to improve melanin production, stall depigmentation and restore archetypical skin functions.
  • Nutraceuticals: Supplements that provide essential nutrients to provide nourishment and contribute to cell and tissue regulation to restore their altered homeostasis.

Antibiotics vs. Gardnerella: The Real Truth Unveiled

Just like your Gut, your vagina nurtures its own ecosystem and similar to the different types of people you encounter in your global system; the vagina has its own share of good and bad bacteria. Normally, the Lactobacillus family constitutes the good bacteria, which lives harmlessly in the vagina and produces chemicals that keep the vagina mildly acidic. On the other hand, the gardnerella strains are the bad guys that cause infections and unpleasant symptoms associated with bacterial vaginosis.  In ideal acidic PH situations, the different types of bacteria live harmoniously; however, when the vaginal PH becomes alkaline, it results in the gardnerella strain becoming more powerful and proliferating rapidly.

Causes of Gardnerella

The most common causes of a gardnerella infection are:

  • Sexual intercourse with multiple partners or an infected person
  • Unprotected sex, since semen is  highly alkaline and the vagina has to combat that to maintain its acidity levels
  • Sexually  inactive women could also become vulnerable if  there is spontaneous change in their vaginal PH ( often caused by diet, hormonal levels, health conditions etc)
  • Transmission of infection through douches, towels and wet swimsuits
  • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies such as low iron and zinc levels
  • Use of contraceptive devices like IUD’s
  • Immune compromised patients
  • Stress and lack of proper sleep can lead to imbalances in the body’s homeostasis
  • Pregnancy and childbirth
  • Wearing ill fitting undergarments and tight clothes. Synthetic materials are not good at absorbing moisture and could aggravate conditions.  Snug fitting cotton undergarments help keep the area dry and oxygenated
  • Lack of hygiene could be another causative factor

Symptoms of a Gardnerella Infection

The signs typically include:

  • Unpleasant fishy  vaginal odor
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge- the discharge can be white (milky), chunky resembling cheese, gray and thin
  • Vaginal Inflammation
  • Itching, burning, and irritation in the vaginal area
  • Burning when urinating
  • Painful intercourse

Although, it is important to note that these symptoms could be related to another infection too and some women with the infection could remain asymptomatic as well.

Treatment Options for Gardnerella

The treatment of choice for Gardnerella vaginalis is oral metronidazole, 500 mg twice daily for 6 days. Other Antibiotics like Cephradine and Clindamycin may also be used for the treatment. All women with symptoms of bacterial vaginosis should be tested. Some physicians also recommend that women undergoing certain gynecological procedures should be tested and treated for bacterial vaginosis, even if symptoms are not present. This is because bacterial vaginosis has been associated with the development of pelvic inflammatory disease and other infections after procedures like endometrial biopsy, surgical abortion, hysterectomy, intrauterine device placement, caesarean section and uterine curettage.

Are Antibiotics Safe?

There is no doubt that antibiotics like metronidazole, Cephradine and Clindamycin have become the go- to treatment for Gardenerella vaginalis. However, these drugs have its fair share of risks. The most commonly experienced are:

  • Stomach pain
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Loss of balance
  • Vaginal itching or discharge
  • Dry mouth or unpleasant metallic taste
  • Cough
  • Sneezing, runny or stuffy nose
  • Swollen or sore tongue

The other deterrent factor is that microorganisms have the tendency to mutate into antibiotic resistant strains that no longer respond to antibiotics. Thus, treating with antibiotics is not always fruitful.

Natural Alternatives for Gardnerella vaginalis

Holistic doctors understand that if you want to combat any foreign invasion successfully, you need to be armed with a robust immune system. So, alternative therapies like ayurveda and homeopathy resort to targeting the underlying cause of any clinical manifestation to unearth the root cause of the problem. Traditional medicine has come a long way and several natural ingredients have been clinically verified for their potential benefits. Ingredients like Rubia cordifolia, Withania Somnifera, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Allium cepa, Sapindus laurifolia Vahl,Allium sativum etc  are traditionally believed to possess immune boosting properties and are often used in alternative medicine to combat infections.

In fact, a clinical study highlighted that:

All the patients infected with Gardnerella vaginalis and advised a polyherbal solution intravaginally and over the vulva, twice daily for 2 weeks had full and effective relief from itching and abnormal vaginal discharge on completion of the protocol. 1

Some key Ingredient highlights with Clinical evidence:

  1. Sapindus laurifolia Vahl:

Also known as soap nut, this herb is popularly used in traditional remedies for promoting healthy skin and hair. A clinical investigation showed that an aqueous and ethanol extract of soap nut exhibited good antibacterial activity against the gardnerella strain. 2

  1. Saraca indica:

This ayurvedic herb is traditionally believed to possess detoxifying, immune boosting, and energizing properties. A clinical evaluation of a polyherbal extract containing Saraca indica showed significant antimicrobial activity against the tested microorganisms including the gardnerella strains. 3

  1. Symplocos racemosa:

This is a very important ayurvedic herb and is traditionally used to maintain healthy eyes, skin, and vagina. A polyherbal extract including Symplocos racemosa displayed potent antimicrobial activities against bacterial strains like Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Gardnerella vaginalis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 4

The Incredible Health Secrets of Red Clover

You may have known this plant by other names like Clovone, Cow Clover, Meadow Clover, Purple Clover, Trifolium pratense, Wild Clover, Beebread etc. However, Red clover as it is popularly known is not only pleasant to see, but similar, to the various names it owns has versatile beneficial properties that practitioners of traditional medicine recognize and promote.

Phytochemical Significance of Red Clover

Red clover is considered an abundant resource of isoflavones, which also attributes to the many health benefiting properties that Red Clover is believed to possess.  Isoflavones are water-soluble chemicals that exert an estrogen like effect. The other nutrients found in Red clover are calcium, magnesium, chromium, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B3, Vitamin C, phosphorus and potassium.

Traditional Uses of Red Clover

Red clover is a multipurpose plant; as a fodder crop, the plant benefits the soil by fixing nitrogen levels, thereby improving soil fertility. On the other hand, due to its high phytoestrogen constituents, it is traditionally employed in rejuvenating several organ systems of the body.

Red Clover Health Benefits Potentially Include:

  • Regulating the female endocrine system
  • Detoxifying and flushing toxins from the body
  • Enhancing the immune system
  • Benefiting the body’s bones and improving joint flexibility
  • Improving cardiovascular and arterial health
  • Maintaining healthy organ systems including the lungs, digestive organs and blood

Scientific Evidence has Also Thrown Light on the Possible Therapeutic Effects of Red clover

Various clinical studies have been conducted to identify the therapeutic proficiency of Red clover and growing research has opened the possibility of using red clover in managing several medical conditions affecting the skin, respiratory organs, immune system, female reproductive system, bones and heart.

Some of the studies conducted on Red Clover for clinical conditions are:

  • Menopause: Studies suggest that red clover may be helpful in managing hot flushes and other symptoms related to menopause because of their phytoestrogenic  content. [1, 2]
  • Heart health: A clinical assessment indicated that red clover may improve arterial compliance and cardiovascular health. 3
  • Bone strength: An In vivo study showed that red clover may help strengthen the bone structure of the body. 4
  • Skin:  A Clinical evaluation of lab subjects treated with red clover isoflavones for 14 weeks reported   that the plant extract improved skin cell structure. The amount of collagen was also significantly increased. Thus, the results indicated that red clover may possess natural anti-ageing and skin rejuventating properties. 5
  • Menstruation: Studies suggest that red clover possesses phytoestrogens that may help  balance the estrogen levels, reduce PMS  symptoms, and protect the endometrium from abnormal cell proliferation . [6, 7, 8]

Javita vs. Biogetica: Choosing the Best Weight Loss Companion

Everyone is aware that excess calories are stored as fat in the body. You’re termed obese when the body’s fat deposits exceed to a point where they become detrimental to your health. Obesity can be defined by Body Mass Index (BMI), fat distribution via the waist–hip ratio and total cardiovascular risk factors. BMI is closely related to both percentage body fat and total body fat.

BMI Classification:

Normal = 18-24

Overweight= 25-30

Obese= above 30

There are many factors that contribute to being overweight which include:

  • Overeating and a sedentary lifestyle.
  • Genetic predisposition or hormonal imbalances.
  • Obesity or overweight could be secondary to an underlying problem. For example, a hyperacidity patient may binge on food or indulge in gluttony because his abdominal pain is better after eating. A person with bulimia (an eating disorder) may feel the urge to hog, in an attempt to regain mental poise.
  • Food addictions
  • Sluggish metabolisms
  • Incorrect diet
  • Imbalances in the 5 elements

Effects of Obesity on health

Obesity is considered to reduce the life expectancy as it is generally associated with various diseases like hypothyroidism, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus type 2, obstructive sleep apnea, osteoarthritis and asthma.

This is the reason why maintaining a healthy weight is so important and  there are several protocols available in the market that claim to shed your pounds and help you become lean and slim again. However, they rarely live up to the hype and all you lose is your hard earned money.

But of course, there are certain protocols that do strive to address the problem. So, rather than latching onto any new weight loss gimmick that trends the market, take some time to choose the best option. Let’s review 2 protocols for Weight loss and see which one emerges a winner.

The first product is the Javita Weight loss Coffee; this is a metabolism boosting drink and contains coffee, yerba mate and garcinia cambogia as its core ingredients.

The second protocol is Biogetica’s Digestion and Metabolism Boosting Products that are traditionally believed to work by improving metabolic and digestive processes. In fact each kit is designed to target specific root causes that could lead to weight gain.

Let’s compare the characteristics of both these protocols for a better understanding.

Javita Weight loss Coffee Biogetica’s Digestion and Metabolism Boosting Products
As the name suggests, Javita Weight loss Coffee is coffee powder blended with herbs-Yerba mate and Garcinia cambogia. Biogetica’s Digestion and Metabolism Boosting Kits consist of:

  • Resonance Homeopathic and modern Bio-energetic ingredients that are traditionally believed to help normalize metabolism in obese patients and exert a slimming effect.
  • Nutritional ingredients that potentially help to improve the nutritional state, fitness and normal metabolic system functions.
Javita weight loss coffee is supposed to work by:

  • Balancing PH levels
  • Providing Energy
  • Oxygenating the body
  • Supporting the Immune system
  • Increasing Stamina
  • Detoxifying the body
Biogetica’s Digestion and Metabolism boosting kit contains natural ingredients that are traditionally believed to work by:

  • Re-elementing the gut with good flora and bacteria so that you can break down food efficiently
  • Preventing absorption and accumulation of fat
  • Increasing Body Metabolism
  • Regulating appetite to diminish excess food cravings
  • Inhibiting excessive fat accumulation
  • Exhibiting fat burn by increased fat oxidation
  • Improving lipid profile and increasing metabolic rate
It has been observed that Javita weight loss coffee has various side effects including:

  • dizziness
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • stomach ache
  • headaches
  • dehydration
  • mood swings
  • tremors
  • sweating
  • fatigue
  • constipation
  • aching muscles
  • indigestion
  • anxiety
  • difficulty concentrating and insomnia

Moreover, customers mention they experienced no change; this makes it hard to accept it as a weight loss product.

Biogetica’s kits combine Ayurvedic herbs, nutraceuticals and homeopathic attenuations that are safe and have no known side effects or contraindications. Moreover,  the ingredients used to formulated the blends have scientific evidence backing them.

Some of the research studies conducted are:

The homeopathic remedy ASSISTTM helped patients experience an average Weight loss of 22.67 lbs in 40 days in the trials conducted at the Kissinger Wellness Institute in MO, USA. The amount of weight loss ranged from 11 lbs to 38.5 lbs and thus individual results may vary.

Numerous studies on Irvingia gabonensis , Red Raspberry Ketones  Green Coffee Bean Extract  and Cissus Quadrangularis  have indicated their effectiveness in weight loss. These ingredients are combined in one capsule- Weight OFF RIG.*

Javita weight loss coffee is just a health drink that provides instant energy for a temporary period of time. They have a direct marketing strategy, so one has to know one of the workers that represent the company in order to purchase the Javita products. This also makes it difficult to receive a standard rate as some may offer different prices.  Biogetica is an informational website with a team of experienced doctors available 24/7 for free consultations. You are only charged for the kits you purchase with a special discount provision for those unable to pay the full price. Moreover, you can customize the kits depending on your health status and get personalized kits targeting your specific condition.
Javita only honors returns within 30 days of purchase.  There is an unconditional 90 days money back guarantee if the products don’t meet your expectations.

So, based on real customer reviews Javita has failed to elicit any clinically evident weight loss benefit and a lot of people have complained about the side effects they witnessed. On, the other hand Biogetica’s Digestion and Metabolism Boosting Products are a blend of natural ingredients backed with clinical proof showing it helps jump start metabolism and speed up fat loss. Moreover, no side effects or customer concerns have been reported. The ingredients in the Digestion and Metabolism Boosting Products include:
