Braving Alcohol Withdrawal: Symptoms and Holistic Treatments

Alcohol withdrawal can be life-threatening. Alcohol withdrawal can occur when people stop drinking alcohol or reduce it after weeks, months, or even years of heavy drinking. Alcohol withdrawal symptoms can last for several weeks.

Causes of Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms

Drinking excessively and for a long time can disrupt the brain’s functioning. Chronic alcohol consumption reduces neurotransmitter activity. Heavy drinkers who suddenly reduce or stop alcohol consumption can experience a rebound in neurotransmitter activity, resulting in brain hyperexcitability. AWS can cause both physical and psychological symptoms.

Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms can appear anywhere from a few hours up to a few days following the last drink. The main symptoms of alcohol withdrawal are:

  • Anxiety
  • Tremors
  • Heart rate increases
  • High blood pressure
  • Confusión
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Headache
  • Insomnia
  • Confusión
  • Sweating and irritation

Extreme hallucinations or delirium can occur in extreme cases.

Treatment

Treatment aims to maintain the patient’s comfort by managing symptoms. Mild cases may be treated at home. You can have a relative or friend watch the person to make sure the symptoms don’t worsen.

Sedatives, also known as benzodiazepines, are available in the conventional system. Vitamins are essential and may be administered to replace vitamins depleted by excessive alcohol consumption.

Alternative therapies, such as Ayurveda or homeopathy, can help reduce the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Alternative therapies offer a safer alternative to sedatives. Natural herbs support the normal structure and function and detoxify the liver. Supplements can also be used to replenish nutrients lost and calm the brain. Homeopathic products can help calm the mind and stabilize emotions.

Eye Cataract Causes: Decoding the Mystery

A cataract is a clouding in the natural lens of the eye, which lies behind the pupil and iris. You may have cataracts if you’re over 60 and you experience blurred vision and cloudy vision. This is a common condition around the world.

What causes Cataracts

It works like a camera lens to focus light on the retina, which allows for clear vision. The lens also adjusts our eye’s focus so that we can see clearly from both a distance and up close.

The lens is mainly made up of water and proteins. The lens is made of water and protein.

As we age, some protein can clump and begin to cloud the lens. It is a cataract. Over time, the clouding of the lens may increase and become larger.

It is unclear why the eye lens becomes cloudy with age. Researchers have identified a number of factors that can cause cataracts.

  • Age advancement
  • It is a Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Radiation from ultraviolet sources, such as sunlight
  • Obesity
  • Smoking
  • The use of corticosteroid medication for a prolonged period can be harmful
  • Statins are used to lower cholesterol
  • Alcohol consumption
  • High Myopia
  • Eye inflammation or previous injury
  • Previous eye surgery
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy
  • Family History

Research has shown that oxidative changes to the lens of the eye can cause cataracts. Nutritional studies show that antioxidants found in fruits and veggies may be helpful to treat certain types of cataracts.

Foods that may help

Certain nutrients are thought to improve your vision. These nutrients include:

  • Vitamin E
  • Lutein
  • Vitamin A
  • Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Vitamin C

Treatment of Cataract

The conventional treatment of Cataracts is surgical removal. The cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a replacement lens during surgery.

Can Cataract Surgery be a Safe Option

Surgery is the most common way to remove cataracts. This invasive procedure is not without its risks. We tend not to calculate all the possible complications that can occur during a surgical procedure. After Cataract Surgery, complications such as increased pain, swelling, redness and discharge around the eyes, and changes to the field of view have been reported. Many people fear going under the blade and never mention their declining eyesight.

Natural Treatment for Cataract

Modern science suggests that eye cataracts may have a cause. Holistic doctors think that stress and lack of energy are the primary causes of many disorders. The root cause is therefore energetic, not physical. Discuss your concerns with a holistic physician. You can use different natural methods such as maintaining a healthy diet that is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Lutein, Omega 3 fatty acids, and meditation.

Biogetica is committed to improving your vision through the use of homeopathic sarcodes and advanced bio-energetic remedies. These are believed to support the structure and function of the eye and stimulate the optic nerve. We believe that our advanced bioenergetic methods, herbs, resonance homeopathy, and nutraceutical supplements work together to negate the physiological processes which cause cataracts.

Top 5 Signs You May Have OCD

OCD or Obsessive Compulsive disorder is a condition marked by obsessive thoughts and compulsions. It is an anxiety disorder and causes great discomfort. People suffering from OCD are often busy with persistent and unwanted impulses and thoughts. It may interfere with the daily living activities of the affected person. Top 5 signs you may have OCD are given here:

Hand-washing

Compulsive washing of hands or use of hand sanitizer has become the most important signs of OCD patients. This urge occurs due to fear of germs which is the most common obsession in OCD but it can also be due to fear of making others sick or being impure.

Over cleaning

People with OCD also tend to get involved into over cleaning compulsively. They involve in excessive cleaning of house due to fear of germs and getting contaminated. People spend many hours in cleaning. It helps to get away with the thoughts but it is only for a short period of time.

Counting

Some people suffering with OCD perform their tasks according to certain numeric pattern. They count on while doing daily living things such as climbing stairs. This sign occurs as a result of superstition. The person may feel that number seven is lucky and if he will not eat seven bananas his day will not be lucky.

Keeping everything in Order

Another sign that may indicate about OCD is that a person needs to keep everything in order or symmetry. For example, making sure that all the labels on the tins in the kitchen should face the same way. The person keeps on changing the position of the tins frequently to keep them in order.

Fear of harming others

Another sign that is important in diagnosis of OCD may include fear of harming others or oneself. People with OCD remain in fear that they may attack their friends, family members or children. They may have fear that they can set the house on fire by leaving the cooking gas open etc.

Identifying Cataract: 5 Symptoms You Can’t Ignore

A cataract is a clouding in the natural lens of the eye, located behind the pupil and iris. You may have cataracts if you’re over 60 and you experience blurred vision and cloudy vision. This is a common condition around the globe.

Types

1. Subcapsular cataract occurs at the rear of the lens.
2. Nuclear cataract: This occurs in the nucleus of the lens.
3. The cortex of the lens, the part that surrounds the nucleus central, is affected by cortical cataracts. The cataract starts at the edge of the lens and then spreads in a spoke-like pattern to the central part.
Cataract Symptoms:
Cataracts usually form very slowly. It may take a while before you notice it blocking light. You may also notice these symptoms after you have determined the cause:
1. Foggy, cloudy, or blurry vision: Your vision may appear a bit blurry as if you were looking through a piece of glass that was slightly cloudy or viewing a painting by an Impressionist.
2. Driving at night can be difficult. The oncoming headlights may cause you to see more glare.
3. Glare at night: The sun’s or lamps’ light may seem too bright.
4. Colors may appear less vibrant.
5. Double vision: you may experience double sight in the affected eye.

Did You Know

The type of cataract that you have will determine the symptoms you experience. You read that correctly. Nuclear cataract, for example, initially improves vision temporarily, a phenomenon called “second sight”. As the cataract progresses, this temporary improvement in vision will fade. Subcapsular cataracts may not cause any symptoms until they are well-developed.
How is Cataract diagnosed?
You can find out if you have cataracts by visiting an eye doctor.

Treatment of Cataract

Convention Treatment for Cataracts involves the surgical removal of cataracts. The cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a replacement lens during surgery.
Is Cataract Surgery a Safe Option?

Unlocking the Secret: An Exposé on Secret Societies

Ever since Rhonda Byrne published her best seller “The Secret” people across the globe have been attempting the “law of attraction” to bring abundance and happiness into their lives.

I often wonder what the statistics of success for the people applying these laws has been.

As a meditator that started “meditating” at the age of 7, before even knowing what the word meditation means, I have always felt the book and associated films miss out on one important secret, behind the secret!

Yes it is plausible and probable that the vibration we exude creates a feedback loop resulting in the experiences we experience and abundance we receive. A subtle difference it does not seem to point out, however, is that the “Sky doesn’t listen to you until you are one with it.” This to me is the secret behind the secret!

What I’m attempting to convey here is that all of us have the ability to abide in the coalescing “me and mine” consciousness or the expansive “I Am” consciousness that is simply the witness that sees,  without any constrictions of identity. We, without realising this, take this roundtrip, numerous times daily. We all have the ability to see with eyes that are beyond identity and then return to clouding this vision with our personalities. We can sit in the present moment of our experiential reality or travel back and forth in time, in the carriage of our psychological reality. The mind can only dance around this idea of “me” and my past, my future, my likes, dislikes or safety. It is when we for a moment rise above identity, that the mind is truly able to be present and free.

It seems like people applying the laws of attraction in their lives are taking a dualistic approach to a law that could only apply to the reality of unity. Our skin as much joins us to the universe as it divides us, and it can only do one when it does the other. Many a time I have experienced the magic of a wish or thought. becoming a reality. This however, has only happened when my consciousness is free from the limits of me.

The concept of manifestation is also mentioned in the Upanishads which say  – manifestation  is all about being in completion (advaita) – declaration (vaak) and living the four tatvas (powers) of authenticity, integrity, responsibility and enrichment. The sky only listens to us when we are ONE with it!

Are these words in a language constructed on duality, getting my point across about unity? The more efficient way would be to show what I mean to you in meditation which you may do here

“Looking in your eyes,

With eyes that aren’t mine anymore,

Your beauty blooms as I let go,

Beyond Judgements and Fantasies,

This Beloved, Is our Reality”

Explore Spectrum Consciousness Medicine Today

Natural. This article will clarify some of the misconceptions about these terms, including “Alternative”, “Alternative”, Conscious, and Holistic medicine. This article will also show how to combine all of these different medicine systems into a comprehensive model of holographic healiing that is compatible with our current understandings of consciousness.

The most Common Systems of Medicine in use Today

Allopathy

Allopathy is the modern system of scientific medicine that is practiced today. Allopathy has been a great improvement in critical care. It is recommended most often in emergency situations. Allopathy focuses on physical molecules and tries to control symptoms by controlling molecular interaction. Allopathy, according to some physicists or spiritualists, needs to catch-up with physics in order for it recognizes the molecular as well as vibrational natures of life. Allopathic drugs tend to be chemical and protected by patents. Allopathic drugs are the ones that pass through the FDA’s expensive trials to gain approval. Clinical trials have shown that natural remedies can be more effective than Allopathic medicines in managing chronic conditions over the long term. However, the FDA does not approve these products.

Allopathy usually targets symptoms or pathogens, whereas holistic medical systems such as those listed below aim to change the terrain of body and mind in order to address the root causes of symptoms.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda, the ancient science of living, is the oldest and most comprehensive medicine/lifestyle system in the world today. Ayurveda is believed to have originated around 4000 BC by some historians.

Ayurveda believes that all functions within the body and earth are governed by the interplay of five basic elements. Fire is the element that governs digestion. Too much fire can cause symptoms such as heartburn, while too little fire will lead to a slow digestion. For the purpose of diagnosing patients, these five elements are separated into three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Ayurveda relies on herbs, mineral and metal extracts and purified minerals to produce medicines that balance the five elements and their functions. Ayurvedic medicine is highly complex. Classical texts, for example, describe how many times an ingredient should be crushed to ensure that it can penetrate one membrane but not another. Ayurveda prescribes certain herbs as transport mechanisms for the cells and classifies them according to their cooling or heat nature. Ayurveda uses Bhasmas, which are metal extracts derived from alchemical nanotechnology. These metals, it is believed, bring energies from our solar system to the body. Silver, for example, is associated with the moon; gold with the sun; and lead with Saturn. The alchemical Bhasmas that are used in large quantities are rarely prepared properly. Certain firms have had to deal with heavy metals in their products, which are harmful to the human body. Ayurvedic texts are a science of mastery that tells us when to pick a certain herb for maximum efficacy. The best time to harvest an herb is determined by both astrological and climate conditions. Ayurvedic medicine is much more than the garlic capsules that you can buy at your local vitamin store. Ayurvedic medicine is also the most expensive due to the complex nature and high cost of the raw materials. Ayurvedic pills are often made with pearls or gold and can cost up to 1000 times more than chemical pills.

Ayurveda is renowned for its understanding of life. Some believe Ayurveda has already discovered what modern medicine is just beginning to learn.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture

Ayurveda is credited with influencing many of the principles of Chinese medicine. Ayurveda acupuncture charts are older than those in Chinese medicine. Some historians think that Bodhisattva Da’mo was the one who brought Ayurveda, Paranayam and TCM to China. This evolved into TCM, Acupuncture, and Chi-Gung. Scientists have proven the existence of a meridian in the body through electrical conductivity testing and magnetic resonance imaging. The medical community has largely ignored this research and western medicine, or allopathy, is yet to acknowledge the existence and importance of the meridian systems.

Nutraceuticals and Dietary Supplements

Nutraceuticals are a natural evolution of our western (allopathic medicine) understanding. Nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, and other raw materials are included in a variety of nutraceuticals. These include vitamins, enzymes, amino acids and many others. Allopathy has provided us with a great deal of insight into what raw materials are needed for every function. The methods for prescribing dietary supplements ignore the fact that everyone’s constitution and ability to absorb nutrients is unique. Vitamin C, for example, is an antioxidant that can be beneficial to a person with a Kapha or Vata constitution. However it would cause further imbalance in Pitta (fire/water constitution) people. Vitamin C is also found in various live foods, each with its own five element properties. Vitamin C from rose hips, for example, is hot and acidic. It is therefore good for flu. Vitamin C from Amla is alkaline and cooling. Ayurvedic doctors prescribe it more for herpes. When prescribing nutritional supplements, it is best to take into account the different miasms and constitutions that are taught in Ayurveda and homeopathy. Nutraceuticals are also a problem because of the marketing they receive. Each few months, a new nutraceutical product is introduced to the market as if it were a panacea for all problems. This is clearly harmful. I don’t believe that the Lycopene found in your ketchup is a health miracle.

Formulas for nutraceuticals should be made from real food, not synthetic molecules. This will ensure that the final product is bioavailable and balanced.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy may be the least understood science and art system on earth today. Homeopathy is fundamentally informational and vibratory medicine. Homeopathy is a placebo, say critics of the practice. They claim that there is no scientific support for it. They complain that homeopathic remedies do not contain any molecules or matter of the original substance. Homeopathic medicine is not supposed to contain molecules. They simply pass on the information from the molecules to the body, so that it can heal itself. Homeopathic medicines are sometimes twice as effective than placebos. As an example, the homeopathic dilution in water of coffee molecules will induce sleep in insomniacs as their bodies will react to the information about Coffee. Full Spectrum Resonance homeopathic remedies can be made using actual body secretions or pathogens that affect the body. Homeopathic remedies can be made from secretions of insulin, progesterone and pancreatic beta-cells, as well as herpes, hpv, or pancreatic alpha cells. They are used to encourage the body to adjust to its optimal function, or to coax a response from it. Clinically tested Nosodes from herpes in France, 82% of patients benefited. This groundbreaking study was largely ignored because there was no funding to approve homeopathy by the FDA.

Classical homeopathy treats each individual, not just the symptoms. Five patients with similar symptoms could receive different remedies based on their constitution. Clinical trials of homeopathic medicines are therefore almost impossible. The efficacy of this herpes node study would have been higher if the Nosodes had been administered with homeopathic remedies according to each patient’s constitution.

Scientists and nano-technologists have proven that homeopathy is based on water’s memory. Dr Rustum R. Roy, from Arizona State University and Penn State Universities, proved this with his paper entitled “The Structure Of Liquid water; Novel Insights From Materials Research; Potential relevance to Homeopathy”. The scholars from IIT also did the same in their paper about nanotechnology and Homeopathy.

SAFETY & Efficacy

It is not true that just because something is natural, it is safe. Natural substances are safer in general than chemicals. Some of the most toxic poisons are also natural. Never assume that something is safe just because it’s natural. You must check how long the product has been consumed by humans and what long-term effects have been. It is also important to take into account half-baked ideas about the mechanisms of action a product has in the body. Ancient medicine systems such as Ayurveda have spent centuries studying the reactions that each action creates in the body. Allopathy, which focuses on symptoms and is short-sighted, does not understand this.

In addition, there are many variables that must be taken into account when producing natural medicines. Two batches of the exact same plant grown in the same field can have different amounts of active ingredients, and thus differing efficacy.

The following variables can be managed:

  • In most cases, organic ingredients should be used.
  • Utilizing the principles of Bio-dynamic agriculture and Siddha to ensure plants are harvested when they have their maximum potency
  • Standardizing extracts in order to ensure that the active ingredient amount remains constant.
  • Preparing products and bottling them in a way that preserves their vibrational and molecular purity

REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT

All natural products sold in western countries today carry a disclaimer that reads something like: “These statements were not evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.” These products are not meant to diagnose, treat or cure any disease.

This disclaimer doesn’t mean that the natural product is ineffective for a particular condition. This means that FDA drug approvals for this particular natural product have not been requested. It is because no firm wants to spend hundreds or millions of dollars for drug approvals on a product which cannot be patented. This brings us to a very pressing and obvious question: “Does the FDA have to state that it is science before it can be considered science?”

Homeopathy is generally considered a medicine by the American Medical Association (AMA) and FDA. Doctors can prescribe homeopathy for self-limiting ailments. Most homeopathic remedies have the disclaimer above, even though they must include an indication.

The entire homeopathy legislation seems to be in flux. Nobody is doing large-scale studies to prove homeopathy’s science, so it is not defended as a pseudo science. Homeopathy has been credited with helping millions of people and critics will not change that. As consumers, we need to understand that “NO government has the authority to force anyone to take a particular type of medicine.” Just as we can choose our religion and our medicine, we also have the freedom to choose. You should not expect homeopathic remedies or natural cures to be covered by mainstream media. You’ll have to search for the products and refine the research. Your doctor should be open to other medical systems, and help you find the best remedies.

Ayurveda, also known as Ayurveda in India, is prescribed by many Allopathic doctors to treat chronic illnesses. Ayurvedic herbal supplements are sold in Europe and the USA. Europe has recently reduced the allowed number of herbs to 60, and many Ayurvedic or Chinese medicines are not available in Europe. This has resulted in many people being denied their favorite science.

Reiki and other ancient “bio-energetics”, including Pranic Healing

Scientists such as Rustum Moore and Joie jones from UC Irvine have studied Reiki, Pranic Healing and other energy healing modalities extensively. They realized that many healers were able to change the state of cells within a Petri plate. They also realized that the same thing would happen if a Faraday Cage was placed over the cells. We realised that the “energy”, or electromagnetic energy, of a Reiki session had nothing to do the common definitions used in physics today. Scientists were led to believe that Reiki energy exchange is more like information exchange. The chi, or prana that we conduct and transfer as souls goes beyond the denser electromagnetic spectrum.

Modern Bio-energetics

Over the past few decades, Bio-energetics is a field that has seen a lot of progress. The following are some of the most important advancements in Bio-energetic Medicine that I am aware of:

Bland Lasers: You are an rainbow, and you contain the seven notes. Each Chakra is assigned a primary note and color. It’s further subdivided into seven sub-regions that represent the interaction between another Chakra and this Chakra. Muladhar, for example, is red and has the note Do, which is related to survival. Red is a mixture of orange, yellow, and other colors. This creates the different shades of red. These regions are also responsible for the functions of other chakras within this chakra. They correspond to various octaves in Do. Red and orange in the second Swadhistan Chakra represent Do’s second octave, which represents the interplay of sexuality and existence.

Scientists have been mapping laser frequencies for the last 30 years and creating lasers which emit the sound and light frequencies of the above 49 zones. These lasers are useful for both diagnostic and correctional purposes. The healer can use these lasers in conjunction with a pulse to identify which frequencies are out of resonance, and then use the Laser to bring them back into resonance. This type of session helps the patient to transcend the particular point in their evolution where they are stuck.

Resonance Archetype Mutation

The Resonance Archetype Morphing technique is one of the most advanced technologies available today. The basic principle of the technique is that our never-decaying soul has a billion functions. Over time, some of these functions drift away from the archetypal state they were in when the body was decaying. The same way we fix our hair in the mirror, our cells are able to exchange energy and information with Resonance-Archetype-Morphing (RAM), and this exchange brings those cells back into balance. Quantum physics can teach your body to produce insulin and progesterone again. RAM functions are explained in detail by wormholes, the Casimir Effect and nanotechnology. The nitty-gritty details of RAM working are outside the scope of this piece.

COMBINING HEALTH SYTEMS IS THE BEST WAY TO GO

Nothing is more important to us than our health. The medical community is divided by education and service. Your allopathic doctor may not hesitate to call a 4000-year-old medical system such as Ayurveda, a scam. This is a disservice to both you and his other patients. You may end up in a situation where you are given a lot of information but have no idea how to combine it into a protocol for you.

As we currently understand consciousness, it is a combination of information and energy. Max Planck, considered to be the father of quantum physics, said that “all matter exists because of vibration”. The universe, and everything in it, is created by the alchemy between light and sound. Balance is needed across the entire human experience. This includes physical, emotional, mental, and informational elements. By combining the above medicine systems, we can essentially work across the conscious spectrums of information and energy as well as matter to bring balance in all three spheres at the same time.

As an example, a woman who eats exactly the same foods as the rest of her family is the sole one in the group that has a Vitamin B deficiency. The issue is not nutrition, since the family eats the same food. Her doctors may prescribe shots and supplements. If we only look at it from a molecular perspective, this is the approach. A more advanced approach would include giving the woman herbs to balance the five elements of the body, and prepare the terrain for assimilation; and providing the body with information about the functions involved in that particular assimilation.

It is time to practice conscious medicine and I hope this article will help you create a better future for yourself and your family.

Herpes Cure in 2016: An In-depth Look at New Research

All doctors, universities, researchers, and advocates of natural medicine continue their search for effective herpes treatment. Recent research shows that herpes can increase your risk of contracting HIV by 300%. This has made it even more urgent to find a cure.

The Latest and Most Promising Research on Herpes Cure done up until 2016

  • Researchers have been unable to find an effective vaccine for the virus that causes herpes genitalis. Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago, working with German scientists, have now shown that zinc oxide nanoparticles, shaped like jacks, can prevent the virus from entering cells and help develop natural immunity. It is not yet available for those with Herpes.
  • Hypericum mysorense: was featured in international news when a study about it and HSV were published in peer-reviewed medical journals. This study is in the US Library of Medicine and on page 28 it states that “Our results showed H. mysorense, H. hookerianum suppressed HSV-1”. Although this herb has only been approved for herpes treatments in India, people around the world are using it to boost their immune systems and report remarkable results.
  • Herpes Nosodes Herpes Nosodes are energetic imprints from the Herpes virus RNA which are believed to activate specific immune responses. Unlike vaccines, they do not contain actual viruses. In a French trial, 82% of genital herpes sufferers who took herpes noodes for six months had fewer outbreaks or none at all for five years. This study is a testament to the fact that homeopaths believe nosodes have powerful immune-boosting properties. Homeopaths believe that nosodes are an important tool because they remind the immune system of its duty to act even if the virus is dormant.
  • monolaurin: allegedly dissolves viral envelopes, making it easier for your immune system to eliminate them. Health Canada recommends monolaurin for all Herpes patients and HIV-positive individuals. Monolaurin, according to a study by the Canadian government, is a useful way to boost immunity and fight off.

Findings that are less promising

  • Picrorrhizakurrooa: According to studies, this herb has a powerful immunostimulant.
  • Acorus Calamus: In vitro studies showed that this herb had immune-boosting, immune-modulating properties.
  • Prunella vulgaris: This herb has been traditionally used for skin problems. Also, it is believed that this herb may help with inflammatory conditions. This herb has been shown to boost immunity and fight certain infections.
  • Sidacordifolia : In-vitro- and In-vivo-Research suggest that SidaCordifolia, along with 40 other Ayurvedic herbs, may be effective at fighting infections. This needs to be confirmed by further research.
  • Olive Leaf Extraction: Oleuropein is the active principle (main ingredient) in Olive Leaf extract. This substance may form a barrier around infected cells, which could help to inhibit the infection. This herb is believed to boost the immune system and protect against foreign invaders.
  • The cat’s paw: According to studies, the Cat’s paw may boost immunity and also inhibit viral attachments in host cells.
  • LYSINE: lysine is an amino acid that is found in cheese, milk, chicken, etc., and is popular amongst those with herpes. However, the research on it is not conclusive, as are the experiences of millions who take it.

What is Herpes

Herpes Simplex, also known as HSV or HSV variants, is a virus infection.

HSV-1 and HSV-2 are the most common types.

  • Cold sores on the lips (or oral herpes) are caused by HSV-1.
  • The stone formation can be increased by surgery such as a gastric bypass, ostomy, or a bypass.

It is possible to contract HSV-1 orally and HSV-2 in the genital area.
Herpes Zoster, or Shingles, is caused by another virus called Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV). Researchers have found that patients with herpes simplyx are three times more likely than others to contract HIV. This new information makes it even more important to treat oral and genital Herpes promptly.

HSV is second in frequency to the common cold. Herpes is present in about 2/3 of the population. HSV is everywhere. It’s just that many HSV+ people don’t know they have it. They are asymptomatic and have no symptoms.

Causes of Herpes

Herpes is a virus that can remain dormant in nerve ganglia but will cause outbreaks if immunity is compromised. Herpes infection is divided into three stages:

  • Primary Stage: The virus begins as small, fluid-filled, painful, and red blisters within 2-8 days after infection. When these blisters break open, they form sores.
  • Latent Stage: At this stage, there are no symptoms as the virus has reached the nerve ganglia.
  • Shedding Stage: As soon as the virus reaches the nerve ganglia, it multiplies and infects body fluids like semen, vaginal liquids, and saliva. The fluids responsible for transmitting or shedding the virus are known as the “Shedding Stage”.

Herpes Symptoms

  • Oral Herpes is characterized as red, fluid-filled blisters that appear on the lips, tongue, and mouth. The symptoms include severe pain, tingling, and difficulty eating or swallowing, as well as a fever.
  • Genital Herpes is characterized as reddish, liquid-filled blisters that burst open and form sores or ulcers. When present in the genital area, these blisters can cause pain when micturating and while passing stool (if they are present in the anal region). These blisters can also cause headaches, body aches, and fever. They are common in both men as well as women.
  • Chicken Pox is characterized by general malaise, low-grade fever, and rash. The rash will turn into a vesicular outbreak in 2-3 days and cause severe itching. These eruptions become scabs after 5-6 days. The rash appears on the entire body, except the soles and palms. The body becomes immune to chicken pox and the virus is dormant.
  • Cytomegalovirus affects the salivary glands. Immune-compromised people, including HIV patients, transplant recipients, and newborn infants are affected. It can cause vision problems, diarrhea, and stomach infections.
  • Roseola is caused by Human Herpes Virus 6 and Human Herpes Virus 7. It causes a high fever and skin rash in children. This infection can cause convulsions among children.
  • Infectious Mononucleosis is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus and is characterized by fever, sore tonsils, swollen nodes, body aches, headache, and body ache. Even when infected, a person can remain symptomless.

Who is at risk

Condoms are not a complete protection against the virus, as they can be spread by mere skin-to-skin contact. To be sure that you will not become infected, it is best to completely abstain from all sexual activities (including oral sex or kissing). Most people are at risk because they do not abstain from sexual activity completely.

Pregnancy and Herpes

There is a possibility that Herpes can be passed on to the baby via the placenta. If you are planning to become pregnant or believe that you may be pregnant, it is important to inform your doctor. Inform your doctor if you’re HSV-positive. They can then give you professional advice and their thoughts on the precautions to take. HSV will not stop you from having a family.

Patients may be depressed if doctors tell them there is no treatment for Herpes. They might think they will die. Herpes can affect an individual’s psychologically, making them feel unclean, tainted, and full of anxiety, fear, and low self-esteem. You should start meditating and divert your attention to other activities such as listening to music, taking a walk, exercising, or communicating with others. All these activities can help you relax.

It’s a Good Idea to Keep Your Immune System Strong, Whether or Not You Have Herpes.

The immune system is your body’s sole defense mechanism. Herpes can be a constant problem for some people, while it is not for others. It is due to the differences in their immune system. Herpes-infected people are more likely to spread the virus when they have an outbreak or shed the virus. This happens when their immune system is low.

FDA has stated that there is no cure for Herpes. Herpes is not treatable with over-the-counter treatments in your area. You should consult a Doctor in your state who is licensed to diagnose, treat, and “cure”. There are natural remedies like Hypericum Mysorense or 2lherp which can boost your immune system to fight the infection. Do not forget “live healthy & happy”.

Ulcerative Colitis: Can a Tailored Diet Be Your Game-Changer

What is Ulcerative Colitis

Inflammatory bowel disease is also known as ulcerative colitis. The lining of the colon or large intestine and the rectum becomes inflamed. The inflammation makes the bowel move rapidly and empty itself frequently. This leads to tiny ulcers appearing on the colon lining. Ulcers can cause bleeding, mucus, or pus discharge. There are certain triggers, such as gluten-rich foods, high fiber food & spicy foods, that can cause Ulcerative Colitis symptoms. Ulcerative Colitis patients cannot be helped by a single diet. It’s important to find out what works best for you.

Continue reading to learn more ……

Diet Recommendations for Ulcerative Colitis

There are general guidelines to help manage symptoms of Ulcerative Colitis.

Ulcerative colitis can be treated with the right food.

Conventional Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

Anti-inflammatory medications can be prescribed by your doctor to reduce swelling and inflammation. In more serious cases, corticosteroids or antibiotics may be needed, as well as aminosalicylates and surgery. Aminosalicylates and corticosteroids can help control symptoms, but they do not cure the problem.

Natural Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

The latest scientific research suggests that Ulcerative Colitis may have a cause. Holistic doctors think that stress and lack of energy are the primary causes of many disorders. The root cause is not physical but energetic. Herbs, supplements, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda all help to balance your energy. Combining these products will help you to get healthy. Discuss your concerns with a holistic physician. Avoid multiple doctor visits or emergency rooms as this can make it more difficult to deal with your condition. Maintaining a healthy diet, exercising, and practicing meditation are all-natural methods you can use.

Varicose Veins: How Diet can Shape Your Recovery

What would it be like to regain your normal smooth skin? To restore the health you once had? Imagine how free that would make you feel.  Did you know that varicose veins the disorder that causes the appearance of unsightly bulging veins through your skin affects about 50 percent of all people in the U.S. over age 50. In fact, statistics also estimate that about 55 percent of women and 45 percent of men in the U.S. suffer from some sort of vein problem.

Varicose veins develop when blood flow slows down in the veins or begins to pool in the extremities and is almost always an indication of an underlying venous insufficiency disorder. However, the good news is that this condition can be pretty well managed by making certain lifestyle modifications, so that your condition doesn’t aggravate to a point where you would need invasive procedures or nasty medications to get relief.

How Does Your Diet Influence Varicose Veins?

Since varicose veins is primarily a result of poor circulation and high levels of inflammation, caused by factors such as a nutrient deficient diet, lack of physical activity, injuries to the limbs, hormonal imbalances, and high amounts of stress; doctors unanimously agree that imbibing a healthy, balanced diet, reducing weight, and being moderately active  may greatly help decrease sluggish blood flow or  pooling in your veins, along with other potential benefits like increased energy, better skin, improved heart health, and digestion.

Consuming anti-inflammatory foods rich in fibers, Vitamin C and bioflavonoids like rutin, and avoiding foods with high calories may actually help you improve your vein health without having to resort to bothersome prescription creams or expensive laser surgeries that could end up doing more harm than good.

However, the truth is that most foods today don’t supply adequate nutrition because a lot has changed in the seeding, harvesting and refining techniques and so, you’d be better off to supplement your diet with other natural ingredients that could offset any nutritional deficiency and also potentially correct any imbalance in your body.

In fact, certain herbs and homeopathic ingredients have clinically shown to improve vein health, enhance circulation and alleviate oxidative stress that leads to inflammation. Herbs such as Terminalia arjuna, Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha), Boerhaavia diffusa (Punarnava), Curcuma (turmeric longa), and Piper longum (Pippali) have been clinically studied for their beneficial effects on the heart and blood vessels. Important homeopathic attenuations have potentially helped improve the elasticity of the walls of blood vessels, enhance blood-flow to the veins, and strengthen the valves in the veins as well advanced nutritional ingredients like NADH and coenzyme Q10 have numerous research studies behind them advocating  their role in boosting circulation, improving arterial and vein health, and maintaining general wellbeing. Keeping this in mind our doctors at Biogetica have formulated our Deliverance Kit with OM 5 Formula for optimum vein health. This kit has been meticulously formulated with evidence based herbs, vein nutrients and homeopathic constituents.  Each ingredient is included to play a specified role in the protocol. We’re confident that this protocol along with dietary modifications detailed below will go a long way in helping you restore the freedom and confidence you seek. Please feel free to discuss the benefits of this protocol with our Doctors for free at any time by clicking here. They can also help customize a Diet plan for you based on your exact case, constitution, eating habits and present condition.

VARICOSE VEINS DIET RECOMMENDATIONS

Hippocrates famously declared that “All disease begins in the gut.”  and his wisdom has been corroborated to a certain extent by modern research, which does affirm the fact that we do end up diseased on account of what we put in our stomach.

Since Inflammation is a chief proponent in varicose formation, foods that naturally fight inflammation will help a great deal in this condition.

Certain foods have components that have shown to reverse inflammation and improve blood circulation, which means they could prove valuable in healing varicose veins. Some of the best foods teeming with anti-inflammatory properties include:

  • Anti-oxidant rich foods: Bioflavonoids naturally found in plants, fruits and vegetables not only impart characteristic colors to these food items but also possess properties that protect these edible items as well as humans. Bioflavonoids potentially strengthen blood vessel walls and prevent free radical formation inside the vessels. These flavonoids have also been studied to show improvements in the appearance of varicose veins.  Berries such as strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, and grapes, citrus fruit, mango, papaya, pineapple, kale, Brussels sprouts, buckwheat, parsley, red cabbage, garlic, beets, onion, spinach, and many spices are rich anti-oxidant sources.
  • Vitamin rich foods: Vitamins are extremely important micronutrients essential for the proper functioning of your body.  You need the following essential vitamins for optimum vein health.
  1. Vitamin C: Found abundantly in berries, broccoli, potatoes, tomatoes, oranges, and lemons, this vitamin is said to help the body manufacture connective tissues- collagen and elastin, both of which repair, strengthen, and maintain veins keeping them supple and flexible.  Vitamin C also potentially promotes healing and inhibits free-radical formation.
  2. Vitamin E: Present in green veggies and citrus fruits; this vitamin potentially boosts vein strength, fights inflammation and improves circulation. It is also known to desist platelet aggregation thus acting like a natural blood thinner and preventing blood clots from forming and sticking to the side of the blood vessel walls.
  3. B group Vitamins: All the vitamins belonging to the B complex group and found in brown rice, wheat and barley, liver, turkey, and tuna, potatoes, bananas, lentils, chili peppers, beans, and molasses have shown to potentially benefit vein health by primarily strengthening the walls.
  • Fiber rich foods: Including fiber in your diet helps ease bowel evacuation, which means you don’t remain constipated because constipation increases pressure on the veins and this, over time, could contribute to the development of varicose veins. Fiber also potentially improves heart health. High-fiber foods that you can include in your diet are vegetables, fresh fruit, grains, and legumes (sprouted/soaked). Chia seeds and flaxseeds are also healthy options to include in your diet because they not only assist bowel evacuation, but also provide omega-3, which are important anti-inflammatory compounds.
  • Magnesium-rich foods: This is the fourth abundant mineral found in our body but is surprisingly the leading nutrient deficiency found in adults with approximately 80 percent being deficient in this vital mineral. Magnesium potentially helps create energy, improve muscle movement, regulate neurotransmitters, fight inflammation, lower blood pressure, maintain balance, boost immune levels, and assert a general state of good health. Magnesium deficiency will manifest as blood pooling, blood pressure problems and leg cramps, which further contribute to varicose veins. So, including things like leafy greens, avocado, bananas, cruciferous veggies and sweet potatoes can help you improve magnesium levels in your body.
  • Natural diuretics:  Your body retains water to compensate excess sodium or deficient potassium consumption and the volume of blood circulating in the body is impacted. This fluid increase creates extra pressure on the veins and their valves, contributing to their weakness and increasing the chances of developing varicose. Doctors sometimes use water pills to help reduce water retention or swelling and increase urination. However diuretics have several unwanted side effects and are not suitable for daily consumption. However, you can achieve the same effect by consuming fresh herbs like parsley, cilantro, and basil, fennel, dandelion greens, cucumber, asparagus, oats, Brussel sprouts, and celery.
  • Apple cider vinegar (ACV): ACV is said to provide numerous benefits to the body. It potentially improves circulation and is an effective anti-inflammatory. You can either drink ACV or combine it with witch hazel  and apply it on your varicose veins to potentially alleviate swelling and improve skin appearance.

Foods for Moderate Consumption

  • If you consume moderate amounts of ginger, garlic and onions on a daily basis, you will help your body to break down a substance called fibrin that tends to surround varicose veins and cause blood clots.
  • The omega-3 fatty acids found in soybeans, walnuts, raisins, canola oil, chia seeds, and flaxseeds really make a difference when it comes to blood flow and circulation. It improves both the tone and elasticity of the vessels.
  • Make sure to include fish in your diet. Choices like wild salmon, mackerel, anchovies, sardines and tuna are important sources of omega 3.

Foods to Avoid

  • Food with high content of salt is very bad as salt hardens the blood vessels and causes water retention. This includes most canned soups, pizza, hot dogs, and ham. Other foods that are usually high in sodium include salad dressings, many types of cheese and macaroni, soy sauce, and pickles. Ketchups, mayonnaise, french fries, salted potato chips are also considered dangerous in varicose veins.
  • Sugar and simple carbohydrates can also cause water retention because foods with a lot of sugar or simple carbohydrates cause the body to release massive amounts of insulin in response to the sugar spike. Released insulin impairs your body’s ability to excrete sodium, resulting in water retention. Therefore it is best to stay away from alcohol and fruit juices that are high in sugar to keep varicose veins at bay.

Home Remedies

Massage Therapy

If you are able to have a professional massage periodically, you will find that a trained masseuse will start at your feet and work his or her way up to your waist to promote circulation. If you can massage yourself it should be done on a daily basis, starting at your ankle and working your way up to the thigh for about 5 minutes per day and remember to never massage the varicose vein itself. Essential oils such as cypress oil is said to increase circulation and can be added to your massage oil for added benefit.

Thus, to summarize, varicose veins is a manageable condition and incorporating exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, adopting an anti-inflammatory diet, and including natural herbs  and advanced nutraceuticals can help you maintain healthy veins.
