Holy Basil, also known as Tulsi in Indian culture, is a revered herb. The name is derived from “basileus”, a Greek word that means “king”.   1. Wild Leaf Holy Basil or Vana Tulsi (Ocimum gratissimum)

This plant has green leaves with white flowers and a characteristic aroma. It is mostly taller than other varieties of Holy basil and contains the highest amount of eugenol.

This variety is most likely to be found in America.
