The Pendulum has finally swung and the entire world is moving back towards nature and her medicines.
This is great news for people like me who have dedicated their life’s work to giving natural formulations the respect it deserves on the planet today. This switch in mindset is also most likely to help rid the planet of many chronic ailments that are exacerbated by the short sightedness of chemical medicines that merely suppress symptoms.
To me, the argument for natural medicine is fairly simple. When a car bumper made of metal breaks, we fix it with metal. When a desk made of wood breaks we fix it with wood. Hence when a body made of nature begins to malfunction why should we use chemicals to fix it? Isn’t nature the only thing that can bring life into balance?
Allopathic medicine has an outlook which is primarily if not entirely, molecular. Life and its numerous functions are broken down into their molecular components and interfered with in terms of molecular interactions. Yet, few point to the obvious fact that molecular interactions cannot create life and that there is much more to life than molecules alone. Even identical molecules will act very differently depending on whether they were derived from naturally occurring food or synthesised in a lab. The synthesised molecule will never demonstrate the electron and photon spins that one can clearly see in food that comes from nature.
The 5 Element Theory
What worries me now is that most nutritionists and Doctors from western traditions that have adopted herbology and natural alternatives are still thinking in terms of molecules and not the entire spectrum of molecules, energies and information that constitute life and consciousness. They are also doing so without truly understanding the tenets of individual constitution and the basics of 5 element theory which lie at the root of all ancient herbal systems such as traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. This is quickly leading to a situation where many looking for natural solutions are being misinformed and misled into trying something that may do more harm than good.

I will use Garlic as an example to further illustrate my aforementioned point. The health benefits of Garlic have been expounded with numerous recent articles by extremely popular Doctors who have taken to nature’s products, and gained popularity for doing so.
These articles lead one to believe that Garlic is a potent herb with numerous health benefits for all, regardless of one’s personal constitution. An Ayurvedic or Chinese Doctor however would immediately disagree as they know that Garlic is to be used only for certain constitutions exhibiting certain symptoms. Garlic when studied in terms of 5 element theory is generally considered hot, fiery and a plant that can increase the fire in the body. Garlic is great for a person who is generally low on fire but not good for someone with a Pitta constitution that is already too hot. Yet these articles do not even touch upon this important and life altering distinction and blindly prescribe it to all without realising that it can further imbalance upto 40% of the worlds population that is considered to be of a Pitta constitution!
Many such articles mention the immune boosting properties of Garlic and call it a Potent herb without distinguishing between the 5 element nature of the Viruses at hand. If someone has a cold or flu which are regarded as COLD viruses, garlic will increase the heat in the body and help it get rid of them. However if someone has a HOT virus such as herpes and then starts to take Garlic their condition will decline rapidly and they will eventually be led into a situation where they once again start distrusting natures products. Hence I am led to believe that these articles are actually doing more harm than good buy misleading people.
One Size Does Not Fit All
I hope that this article serves as a wake up call to Doctors prescribing natural products so that they may look deeper into the ancient sciences of herbology and learn that when it comes to natural products “One SIZE does not fit all”.
I also hope that this article serves as reminder to people everywhere that there is a lot more complexity to natural formulations than most people pushing their hype tend to know currently.
Herbs that do one body good can do another body harm, and therefore one must be extremely careful when it comes to herbal supplements and formulations.
We at Biogetica formulate each and every product based on deep understandings of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Seldom do we sell a single herb as we know well the herbs that will support its desired effect within the body! Even the cellular transports we use within our formulations are chosen based on a deep understanding of their nature with respect to the five elements.
If you are already taking supplements or herbs we suggest you speak with one of Doctors for free on www.biogetica.com so that they can truly evaluate the supplements in light of your individual constitution.
