Natural Alternatives for Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a skin condition in which white patches appear on different parts of the body. This occurs because the Melanocyte cells that are responsible for skin coloration are destroyed. White patches may start appearing sporadically and increase in size as Melanocyte destruction spreads. Patches usually appear on hands and feet. These physical manifestations of Vitiligo may also lead some patients to suffer from mood disorders as well as depression, which may heavily affect their personality.

Conventional treatments for Vitiligo include:

• Corticosteroid cream for local application.
• Vitamin D derivative – calcipotriene (Dovonex)
• Topical Psoralen plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy
• Surgical treatment: skin grafts from the normal skin to the affected one.

These allopathic vitiligo treatments only address Vitiligo on a superficial level and do precious little to correct the imbalances which are at the root cause of it. None of these conventional treatments cure vitiligo.

Advanced Natural protocols like Resonance homeopathy, ayurvedic herbs and Modern Bio-energetics are traditionally believed to enhance the body’s melanocyte production cycle and support the restoration of normal skin color. Clinical research on various ayurvedic herbs including Bakuchi( Psoralea corylifolia )
Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata) ,Bhringaraj (Eclipta alba) ,Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia),
Kakmachi (Solanum nigrum) , Katuki (Picorrhiza kurroa), Nimba (Melia azadirachta),
Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Rohitak (Amoora rohituka), Sharapunkha (Tephrosia purpurea),
Madayantika paan (Lawsonia alba) has evaluated the efficacy of these herbs in improving the skin functioning.
