Irritable Bowel Syndrome
IBS or Irritable bowel syndrome is an affection of the bowels which is a very debilitating condition. It causes all sorts of symptoms ranging from abdominal pain to altered bowel habits. Stool patterns oscillate between constipation and diarrhea. There is a lot of ineffectual urging for passing stool. A lot of mucus is passed along with stools. At times, it is only mucus that is passed.
Symptoms have no fix pattern, they come on any time.
The most frustrating aspect about this disorder is that there is no organic cause behind it. It has therefore been concluded that it has more of a psychological component to it. People suffering from depression and anxiety are more prone to develop IBS.
IBS is a cause of concern as it leads to weight loss over a period of time.
What is worrying is that modern medicines do not act on root cause of the problem but just act to suppress the symptoms.
Herbal products are very effective in such conditions. They ensure that food consumed is digested properly and easily absorbed by the digestive system. They contain probiotics which provide intestinal friendly bacteria to promote proper digestion.
These herbal products are natural extracts and can be taken for a longer period of time. They help in improving bowel functioning and regulating it.
In the end, it is all about understanding and accepting the disorder. The faster you do it the better it is for a successful cure.
