Scabies, also known as sarcoptesscabiei, is a skin infections that can be highly contagious. You’d be familiar with the disgusting and annoying sensation of constant itching, skin rashes, and blisters if you have ever suffered from scabies. They are certainly not pleasant. It is contagious and spreads through close contact with family, friends, schoolchildren, sexual partners, and in crowded areas. Norwegian scabies (also known as crusted or Norwegian scabies) is a severe and highly contagious form of scabies. The condition is known as “crusted Scabies”, and it involves the development of thick skin crusts infiltrated by thousands of mites, eggs, and mites.
This type of scabies occurs in people who have a weak immune system, such as those with rheumatoid, HIV, psoriasis, or multiple sclerosis.

It is easier to spread through physical contact in crowded places such as schools, hospitals, and public transportation.
After the infection, symptoms will appear in about six weeks. The classic symptoms include rashes on the skin, and itching, especially at night.
Adults can find genital sites in the elbow, wrist, armpits, between-finger areas, waist, nipple and penis, buttocks, etc.
Face, head, neck, and hands are common sites of concern for children.
Scabies can be diagnosed by a clinical examination performed by a physician. The doctor can collect a skin sample to do a microscopic exam and confirm mites or egg presence.
Permethrin or Benzene is commonly prescribed to treat scabies. These treatments eliminate the eggs of mites but do not kill them. You will need to repeat this treatment several times until all eggs hatch. This is a temporary cure, as you will relapse if even one nit escapes treatment. Both permethrin and benzene have a number of side effects because they are toxic chemicals that are carcinogenic.
