- Avoid Soybeans, Flax seed, Peanuts.
- Avoid vegetables such as Cabbage, Turnips, Mustard Greens, Mustard, Millet, Cauliflower, Peaches, Coffee, Spinach, Canola Oil, Foods with Gluten, Sweet Potato, Broccoli, Potato, and
Brinjal (Egg plant)
- Avoid fried, frozen, preserved and canned food.
- Milk and other dairy products such as butter, cheese and ghee are known to worsen symptoms.
- Tea, coffee, caffeinated products and hydrogenated fats are to be avoided as they may further aggravate the condition.
Parsley and pineapple are recommended in hypothyroidism as both are a great source of iodine-a necessary requirement in this condition.
