Gout can be a very confusing disorder and is often misdiagnosed.

It is a form of arthritis resulting from metabolic disturbances in the body.

Sodium urate and uric acid crystals get deposited in the tissues leading to gout.

It affects multiple joints but most commonly affects the big toe which looks red and swollen like a small tomato.

There is no magical cure to it. The best approach is to understand what is happening in the body and why is it happening.

Conventional treatment only has a radical effect on the body chemistry. They do little to reduce the tendency to uric acid deposits.

Natural products like bilberry, celery and cherries help in reducing the uric acid levels. All food items which are high in purine content should be avoided. Fluid intake per day should be increased to flush out the excess uric acid from the system.

These dietary changes combined with herbal remedies provide a holistic approach in curing Gout.
