At Dr. Reckeweg & Co., quality admits no compromise. For this reason, strict control of raw materials is considered to be of first and foremost importance in the manufacturing process. The commitment to this philosophy assures the production of the most reliable, superior quality homeopathic specialties.
THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF IMPORTERS
Outside of Germany, the Dr. Reckeweg specialties are sold, or manufactured under licence, in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and the USA.
Although the raw biological materials used are certified and originate from chosen suppliers, further analytical testing is conducted in our laboratories. This attention to detail ensures conformity with pharmacopoeia monograph standards and self-imposed company specifications.
Organoleptic, chemical, physicochemical, microbiological and pharmacognostic analysis are carried out during routine quality control of starting materials. These methods are applied to establish purity, identity and content, and in the determination of physical parameters.
Following these tests, only raw materials personally inspected by the Quality Control Manager are transferred to the manufacturing department.
Dr. Reckeweg homeopathic remedies owe their high level of quality to an innovative manufacturing procedure that takes into account national (PharmBetrO) and international (GMP, PIC) production guidelines. The criteria outlined in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (HAB), the German Pharmacopoeia (DAB), the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS) are also rigidly adhered to. Taking into account these manufacturing standards, Dr. Reckeweg & Co. has compiled its own unique, detailed written instructions regarding the course of manufacture, from raw material to final product – for each individual specialty.
Although fully automated equipment is available for filling and packaging, these technical aids are forgone during potentization, and Hahnemann’s method of manual shaking and usage of the multiple vessel system are retained.
As a result of ongoing staff education, the Head of Manufacturing has at his disposal a team of colleagues standing at the forefront of scientific and technical developments.
